Anyone know a Mystery Shopper???

I've read about people who have this job. Just wondered if anyone here has ever done it. Is it easy? Does it pay well???? How do you get hired???

I know someone who ran a mystery shopper business. She "paid" the shoppers in merchandise they bought on the job. The shopper would have a list of things to ask about/try to find in the store. They would look to see if the employees were wearing their name tags, was the store clean, whatever the store owners wanted to know about.

Mostly they purchased up to $25.00 worth of merchandise and the shop lasted about 30-45mins. I know this is done for restaurants, too, but I don't know anything about that.

This person I knew hired her friends and neighbors.

I do Mystery shopping once in a while it helps if youre in a larger area but sometimes they have shops in smaller towns.

I did this for a restaurant chain a few years ago. I went at least once a month and they paid for the food that was ordered. I had a form to fill out regarding the service and the quality of the food.

I do Mystery Shopping for www.shopnchek.com and www.beyondhello.com. The pay is between $10 and $15 per "shop". Sometimes I get $$, sometimes I keep what I buy and sometimes both .

Yep, I just started doing this too. It's actually sort of a pain, you have to get certified for each different company that you shop for, but for a few extra dollars it's not bad. You definitely don't get rich doing it, though.
