Anyone just back? Lovebug report?

We were there from 9/16 - 9/22 and didn't have a problem at all with the lovebugs. We saw some of them, but didn't see any swarming. Stayed at the GF overlooking the marina and did 3 parks and the pools. I only got bit once (probably a mosquito) while watching Wishes from Narcoosi's at GF. I was pleasently surprised on the lack of mosquitos, since me and my daughter usually get covered with bites.

just back from 8 days at the POLY. never saw one bug until last day (9/25)at Poly bus stop. then there were several, near ground level tho, trying to crawl into my crocs! benches were fine to sit on.

other than that, none around pool or at DTD or in parks at all that we noticed. very light year I guess.

Saw a few at the Poly today- not many.

I waited while DD was renewing her AP at MK, and there were a lot of them for me to swat and kill.

We just got back, we were there from 9/17-9/25....and yes they were there, but honestly I didn't think they were that bad. They were the worst at Animal Kingdom....but I barely saw any at the GF , Epcot or the MK. They didn't put a crimp in our vacation at all.

if you watch wesh2 it was on there this week they were telling drivers along i 4 to keep windshield washer full..so if there on i4 there in the parks and resorts..

Just got back from ASMU yesterday, they were getting thicker every day. they just about drove me crazy yesterday also, oh wait maybe that was 11 year old niece. Also the taxi cab driver told us they mash up the lovebugs and make viagra out of them

We just got back Monday and only saw a few here and there..they are like lightening bugs!

We got in on the 21st and saw a couple here and there. By the time we left late in the day on the 28th, they were starting to get thick. It's weird though. They'll be thick in one area...like under my umbrella at the pool, and then there may not be any at all in another part of the area.

That's exactly what I was going to post. One or two (sets) early in the week 9/21 and by 9/28 at DTD they were in droves. It was awful, but five steps away there wouldn't be any. Thank god I found refuge in the stores. I wouldn't have spent half the money I did if I wasn't hiding from lovebugs.

We are at WDW now...at the Beach Club Villas. We have been here for two weeks. The love bugs arrived about a week ago, but weren't very thick. There were very few in places like the parks. We were out shopping today (Walmart, outlet mall) and saw very few love bugs. Saw a few cars with some plastered on the fronts, but not many. Last year they were terrible!! This year...not so bad.

Weird - I guess it really depends where you're at. Just got back tonight. Saturday there were quite a few at Epcot. They never really bothered us before, but were icky yesterday. Also, on Friday at the GF pool they were everywhere! My husband asked the lifeguard what was up with there being so many and he said they are attracted to white. Made sense since all of the pool tables were white (never noticed that before).

I am headed to GF on 10/11 and am hoping they are gone by that time!! We exprienced them at the GF pool last May and we couldn't even sit down, they were all over us!! YUCK!! I am crossing my fingers!!

During our 8-day stay (9/22-9/29) the lovebugs got progressively worse.
No where near as bad as last year though - just a minor annoyance every once and a while.

Just came back yesterday. Saw a TON of lovebugs at the bus stop at OKW--in the shade. They were everywhere while we were waiting for hte bus! In the sun, there weren't any. Needless to say, we waited for the bus in the sun! I saw a few here and there at the parks, but nothing major.
I'm going back this Sunday so I'll see if they get better or worse!

Stayed from 9/29 to 10/7. Noticed a lot of them at EPCOT, not so much at AK, DS, or MK. We stayed GF and didn't notice them much there either.

We were there 9/30 - 10/5. They really weren't around that much. Only noticed them at the bus stop at Boardwalk and the bus stop at AK. At AK bus stop was the most we saw.
