Anyone just back? Lovebug report?

We were there 9/25-Oct 3. They were really bad on the 26th at Typhoon Lagoon - I'm assuming because of the water. But, they weren't bad at the parks until the end of our trip. They were definitely not as bad as last year. I think it may have been because we had downpours of rain while we were there - worse than what we had seen in June timeframe in the past. But it didn't last long. Towards the end of the trip it was drying out and they really started to come out. They were definitely there, though, by the end of the trip.

And, yes, they are attracted to white. Last year we took pictures of the benches at the bus stop at the YC -- they are white but in our pictures you can hardly tell they are white. This year we didn't find that to be the case.

We just arrived back late last night, October 9th, we only saw the odd lovebug our whole trip, except for yesterday at the pool at POFQ, then there were a few more, not anything at all like I expected it to be. It was really no big deal. Enjoy! :)

We got back on 10/5 - stayed at OKW and really didn't see more than a dozen or so but by the time we came home they were non-existant. Saw the most at AK on the 29th but they're really not bad at all this year.

Have a great time !

We were there 9/30 - 10/5. Quite a few (enough to be pretty annoying) the first couple of days, practically gone by the 4th - only saw the odd one here or there.

Just got home last night :sad1: We saw only one or two here or there in the five days we were there. However, yesterday while waiting for our car from the valet there were quite a few in front of BC. Then when we were leaving there was a swarm of them around the guard shack.

we were there 9/29 - 10/6. I thought they were pretty bad! We were at CSR and they seemed to be everywhere. The hallway outside our room was littered w/ love bug corpses... they seem to just get trampled along the corridors. Each afternoon they would be all over the walls outside our room. They kept landing on my kids (DD freaked out). Towards the end of the trip they seemed to be lessening... it seemed to go in little waves (bad one day, not as bad the next). Seemed worse at the resort than at the parks. Only really noticed them at the parks while waiting for the busses. They are harmless and kind of interesting. But they definitely were around for us.

Back almost a week now - they were only bad our first day at the bus and at DTD at the Lego store bins. A bartender at PI told us Disney sprays at night to kill them at/around the parks. I didn't think they were too bad at all.

They were thick at Epcot last night. I ate with some friends ant Rose & Crown. Out table was outside along the water. We were continually batting at them to keep them away from our food.

We got back saturday and they were everywhere, i got fed up of swotting them away from me. After facing them all day at the park we came back to our room to find outside our door covered in them, they really love the shade.

When will they be gone? We're arriving on the 26th of this month. I don't like bugs, anyway, and I sure don't want to spend thousands of dollars and have them ruin our trip.
