Anyone just back? Lovebug report?

I know some years are worse then others and we are leaving in 10 days and was wondering how bad they are this year.

I was there in Sept 1999 and they were horrible. It was like walking on Rice Crispies and there wasn't a clear spot on a bench to sit. Everything was black.

Hoping they aren't too bad this year!

Can someone give us a "lovebug" update?

Just chiming in with the others - back yesterday, absolutely no love bugs seen. We were there the same time in 2003 and 2006 (week before Labor Day), and we had them in 2003 but not 2006. Definitely varies by year.

Just a question about the buggies... do they come out a few at a time then build up like mad or is it a all out bug fest from start to finish?

I'm at the Polynesian right now, and haven't seen any love bugs yet! Whew! I was worried about them - I experienced them in May once, and the damage they can do to your car isn't funny, and how they smear and blind your windshield is downright dangerous. But so far, so good!

We also just got back from Florida yesterday. No bugs! So far so good! Actually as soon as I stepped off the plane in Newark Liberty Airport I got a mosquito bite! Ugh! But in Florida no Love bugs at all. Have an awesome trip!

Just had to mention them didn't you. They have a bad habit of popping up suddenly without warning. One day there are none and the next you begin to see them everywhere. I definately hope they aren't as bad this year.

We haven't seen any yet either.

I am so thankful that I've never had to tackle the lovebugs. We were at the parks last week and like the others have said no lovebugs in sight!!!!
