I am wondering, how was the heat? We are going next week and the forcast has it in the low 90's, but with the humidity feeling like 100! :faint: Ugh! We are planning on going back to our resort in the mid to late afternoon each day so that should help. Just wondered how others managed the heat or did you find it wasn't as bad as you thought?

We just got back Friday and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Yes, some days it was 90 :sunny: but the humidity wasn't that bad. And in the evenings it was wonderful. Usually there was a breeze and some evenings it was in the upper 70s which was nice. We would go back to the resort at about 2:00-2:30 stay there for about 2hrs and then go back to the parks. That was great! :thumbsup2 We found that by not doing MK first thing in the morning you avoid a lot of the crowds. We waited and went in the evenings at about 5 or 6 pm, the lines weren't long plus it wasn't so crowded and it was much cooler!! Hope this helps.

We got back on the 21st May and boy was it HOT :sunny: temps went as high as 96 one day. The key is to get back to the hotel after lunch, go swimming or take a nap and then return after dinner till closing, worked for us!!

Stay hydrated!!! Get water before you're even thirsty. - It really helps.

(Just got back at the end of May. It was hot, but I still loved it!)

I was there 5/19 to 5/23 and it was hot (mid 90's) and the last few days were really humid. The misting fans do help. I had purchased a small one for my DD at Walmart before I went but she kept asking for a big one. I knew I really didn't have any room for it in my suitcase and didn't want to pay the $20(???) for it. I promised her I would purchase one for our August trip which I since have at $7.99 at CVS.

We did take a break nearly everyday to swim.

I HATE the heat at home so I was surprised that at Disney is was actually not as bad as I had feared. I had the neck coolers but it never seemed quite that bad to need them. I will take them with us in August.

All the counter server places will give you free ice. I had a britta water bottle that we would keep loaded with ice and made sure we drank enough.

we just got back 6/3 the heat was awful after day 2 we were out of the parks by 1pm and would go back after 5pm. drink lots and lots of water it helps.

We were there from 5-28 to 6-6 and the heat was horrendous. The high was in the 90's with high-humidity that made it feel like a sauna. I'm accustomed to the heat (Texas isn't exactly chilly in the summer) but the heat combined with the humidity, crowds, pavement......you get the picture. It was really, really hot. Most people had personal misting fans - they cost $17.95 filled with ice water at the parks.

We left the park each day by noon or found indoor places to enjoy the AC. Frankly, we had a hard time going back to our pool -I was anxious to get my girls out of the sun.

We did have a few days where it cooled off at around 5pm. I think there were only 2 days that we did not have an afternoon shower. The cloud-cover before showers was always a welcomed reprieve from the sweltering heat of the sun.

Drink lots of water, wear lots of sunscreen, take fans, wear shoes that let you get your feet wet - we all ended up wearing our Keens - very comfortable to walk in AND the added bonus of allowing us to wade through any form of water that happened to sprout up from nowhere. Our althletic shoes were hot and heavy. Pouring ice-cold water down your legs and splashing your arms, face, and neck was a nice refresher.

Have fun!
