Anyone interested in a Sesame Place meet in August?

I didn't get too much feedback on the DIS Meets board, so let's try here. I might go to Sesame Place in Ligonier, PA the first week of August. I get in free anyway with my Platnium Pass. If you have kids or ones I can borrow for the kiddie rides, who can meet up? We can ride Vapor Trail all day!

I haven't been to Sesame Place in forever! Do they have roller coasters there now?

What is this Platinum Pass?

There's 1 coaster at Sesame Place called Vapor Trail.

The Platnium pass is from Sea World. It gets you in at all Anheiser Busch parks around the U.S. except Discovery Cove.

Keep me posted!! I live 3 minutes from there and while I dread the thought of going, especially in August, I will if there is a DIS meet!! We have an annual pass as well. But this brings up another questions, it used to be with the Annual Pass you got admission to Sea World for 1/2 price...do you know if that is still correct?

Hmmmm..... maybe. It is a little too far in advance for me to commit to right now, but depending on when it is and what I have going on here it's possible.
Does anyone know what hotels are in the area?

I have a few you can borrow, but you would have to keep them for the entire day or NO DEAL!

Count me in as a "maybe" too. Its a little early to commit but it sounds fun!

Depending on the date, I'd like to meet up if you guys have dinner or something like that outside of Sesame Place. The park itself is just not my cup of tea (although I might be convinced to bring the kids there.) We can't come the first two weeks in August.

Ah Barry, Sesame Place is located in Langhorne PA Just like dvcfamily, I also live only minutes away!! This sounds very doable!!

I'd be interested! I have a 3 year old son and was planning on making the trip to Sesame Place this summer anyway! August sounds like as good of time as any!

Hmmm...Ligonier, PA? I live not far from Ligonier,PA and Sesame Place is not here. Ligonier,PA has Idlewild Park which has Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood (a great place by the way). Idlewild Park is owned by Kennywood, which is about an hour or so away. If you do come out that way, a meet would be great!!

Hey Barry, just out of curiosity have you been to Libertyland in Memphis? Its really a horrible park and only has two small coasters but it is an Amusement Park...LOL!

My DS birthday is on July 31st and for the past two years we have been going to Sesame Place for his birthday. But this year we are considering WDW for a long weekend. (since all DS says is he wants to go back to WDW ) I will keep this thread in mind if we go.

Ok let's see if this post makes it. I tried posting this afternoon, but nothing happened.

I think this sounds great!!

I've been saying we should take the kids to Sesame Place since DS (3) is now old enough to enjoy the rides and still young enough to be excited by seeing Big Bird and Elmo.

The last time we were there DD was 5 and I was pregnant with second DD. DH would not let me do anything just sit in the shade. I felt deprieved as we had also gone to WDW that May and even after the morning sickness had left half-way through our trip DH would only allow me on slow, quiet rides like It's A Small World. Now that was fine and all, but when you have your heart set on Space Mtn. It's a Small World just doesn't do it.

So 7 years later and we are hopefully going to take the kids to Sesame Place this summer. (Maybe even back to WDW next year.) I would love to be there the same time as you all. Don't think I'll tell DH it's somewhat of a DIS meet though. As it is he thinks I spend too much time on these boards. He might become alittle suspicious when he see all the lime green ribbons though.
