Brandie, that cupcake cake is adorable!
Mary, my favorite is the Bookfair Blizzard cake. Way too cute! I love all the penguins in line to go to the book fair.

Ms. A's Babyshower Cake

This was done for my dd8's second grade teacher's "classroom babyshower". It's chocolate chocolate chip cake with chocolate buttercream covered in fondant. The kids loved it and the leftovers were shared with some of the other teachers. It was a big hit! It's double layer 8", 6" and 4" rounds.
Kelsey's 8th Birthday Cake

This cake was done for the same day as the babyshower cake... so I was working on them simultaneously. Kelsey wanted a "pretty cake with pandas on it"... so this is what I came up with. Unfortunately, I had a little trouble with my supports and it started to buckle a bit. I called it my "Leaning Tower of Pandas Cake". My 6pm when the party was it looked a bit more like a whimsical cake than a tiered cake... but the kids loved it anyway. It was vanilla cake with strawberry filling.
Bookfair Blizzard Cake

I am co-chairing the Scholastic Bookfair at our school this week. I made this for our teachers preview party that we had Friday afternoon. The theme is "Bookfair Blizzard". The cake is chocolate chocolate chip with white chocolate buttercream frosting. The igloo is a half a sports ball pan with fondant "ice blocks" on top. The polar bear, penguins and books are all made out of fondant.

My first class was basically the instructor demonstrating what we would do for the class sessions. But to be on the safe side, I would at least bring my tips.Do I need to bring anything? I have a ton of stuff already, should I bring down the tips that I have so that I don't have to purchase double? The instructor wasn't there when I signed up and the person at the register was new....so she couldn't tell me anything.

I hope you guys can see these, as I am not very good at capturing them sometimes! Both are birthday cakes, the "put me in the zoo cake" for my niece on her 3rd, and the dragon for a friend's son's 5th.

Wow! There are some impressive cakes here! I've enjoyed lurking.
Does anyone have experience with doing a camouflage pattern? I'm going to attempt one for my DS's party and was wondering if anyone had suggestions or hints.
Thanks!
