Anyone in December getting FP+ and MB

Ok. I guess I will just call to be safe. Where do I find the IT number? Or do I just call the regular WDW number and ask for IT?

You can call the regular number. Or Rusty or Robo might be along shortly to provide too. :)

Well, theoretically, if you have magic bands already, and tickets linked to the system, you should be able to make FP+ reservations on a rolling 60 day (or 60+14) schedule. Hopefully MikeK will chime in there. ;) I believe with his ticket setup, he has a 74 day window. I have an AP, and have a 60 day window.

Hopefully MBs and FP+ are right around the corner for December check ins. :goodvibes

to summarize -

I have a fort wilderness reservation and then a DVC reservation for later in december. Also have paper DVC AP''s which are linked to MDE.

We dont yet have MB's so I cant get FP+

But if i futz with the FP+ calendar I can select a day out to 60+14 from the current day (so currently I can jump as far as 12/27). But once i get to that day i get 'your party is ineligible'

so my guess is AP (or probably any valid ticket?) gets you 60 days from today, but also having reservation linked to your MDE gets you an extra +14 days. (and my WAG is that +14 is limited to the 14 days from your check in date- i think i read elsewhere that people with longer than 14 day stays are limited to only 14 days of FP+'s)

TLHB70, I found this number (407) 939-7765 for IT, as well as this number (407) 939-7849.

On this thread? Can you point me to that post, cause I don't remember seeing that. Would love to read how that's possible for one person. If it's who I'm thinking of, she can make FP+ because she has bands from a prior trip, but not customize bands yet. I think you have it backwards. Maybe. ;)

I have magic bands from a prior trip and I still can't customize a new set for December either. So I don't know if that would have bearing on this or not. I wouldn't think so.

I've read it too... However here's my thought.

The system is so disconnected from central reservation, it is possible that a person had a reservation for earlier than December but moved it. This potentially allowed them to get into the system and able to customize bands and even make FP+.

For example, in my case, I had for a few days two reservations for the same days (one actually was longer and one had four instead of five people) - both checking in on the same day (12/22). Guest services was involved in moving the room I had in the second reservation to the first one (first one was with PIN and done prior to the ticket increase - second one was GP and after ticket increase - basically by doing this I was saving about $120).

Both reservations showed up on MDE. When Guest Services finished their work (took them a good two hours), MDE was completely messed up - had people twice under one reservation. IT eventually fixed it and MDE shows correctly now. But BOG FP+ still shows a party of 8 (many of us listed twice) instead of a party of 5 as we are now.

I also had a ConventionEars room-only reservation (Gartner). In early September, I transferred the reservation to another co-worker as I was not going (don't ask - not my choice :<). Two weeks later, I get the invitation to check in, customize bands and reserve FP+. Three weeks later, I get the invitation to schedule BOG FP+. Both of them included the name of the new person. Called and the reservation had the other co-worker's name and email. Still the emails kept coming in. Note that I never linked that reservation with my MDE - maybe I should have and I would probably have access now to customize my bands...

Basically, the systems get linked, but there's no automatic unlink. They are dis-joined...

Wow... you lost me at "for example". Haaaa! No, just kidding.

But really, that's so messed up. LOL

I was originally booked for 8th December arrival and changed it to 11th December.
MagicBands are still there and I'm still able to modify my order. I'm still not able to order/customise them for our second room though. DH keeps teasing me that he and 2 of our children will have MagicBands and the rest of us won't.

I'm set to check in at POP on December 1, but have yet to be able to personalize any MB's on MDE or get any sort of invitation to do so. Is there any way of knowing when I might finally be able to do this?

After 44 pages of posts we have no idea. Speculation is they MIGHT roll out between the 15th and the 25th of this month if history teaches us anything.

That's what I figured, but I wasn't able to sift through all the pages. I'll just have to be patient and see what happens. :goodvibes

To be sure, log in to MDE every day and look for the change in menu.

For testing, many received email invitations but there were also many who said they did not get an email and simply noticed in MDE.

Many of us believe December check ins will start to open up for MB and FP+ around Sep. 24 based on how it happened for November. But the only way to be sure is to check every day!

Just hit 65 days until I arrive at CBR! I check MDE for the "customize magic bands" option in the morning when I get up...at lunchtime...again when I'm home from work...all while monitoring this board, too. Obsessed much? No, no...not at all. LOL

Jealous!!!!! I am at 63 days and chomping at the bit!

I checked this morning and had the customize option for MB. When i clicked the option it was the same as before asking me to link reservations etc...then when i refreshed the page the option went back to manage MB's. :rolleyes:probably appeared in error:confused3

What date is you ressie.

No MB here yet but have a question that nobody seems to be able to answer so I will ask here. I have 4 days park hopper and more left on a non-expiring ticket and also a 5 day base ticket. Will both these tickets be on the MB and if so how do I use the base ticket versus the non-expiring ones?

Nothing is on the Magic Band itself. You link things to your MDEx account and then the band can read that information.

You will want to link both tickets to your account. Then go in and deactivate the non-expiring tickets. Once your expiring days are used up just go back in and reactivate you non-expiring ticket. Simply click on the ticket and follow the prompts to deactivate/reactivate.

I have heard others report that Guest Services can "stack" the tickets in your account so one is used before the other, but I have not tried this. I find it just as easy to deactivate the one I want to hold on to.

Maybe that is a sign!!! :dancer:
