My DH liked all my PS arrangements but one. He doesn't want to try Le Cellier - he says it would be like an Italian family going out for spagetti in Toronto. Any Canadians eaten there with good reviews I can show him? I really want to try it out and I am hoping I can convince him. He is so easy going, I know he will try it for me but I just want to put his mind at rest...
Thanks in advance!

PS. The reservation CM corrected my pronunciation of the restaurant four times - final I broke down. "The "r" is silent!" It's not selliair!

We had dinner there one night. The food is quite good. It is a bit pricey, but like I said the food is good. The atmosphere is very nice too. Service was good. I would recommend it. Rose and Crown is excellent too. We ate there our last trip. Excellent food, excellent service, again not cheap. But then again, what food is in Disney World. LOL :cool1:

Le Cellier is excellent. Have been for both lunch and dinner and very much enjoyed both. Atmosphere is great. Staff have always been wonderful. Hope you can convince hubby to go! :flower:

We also loved it. The bread sticks alone are worth it according to my kids. My DH was just the oposite- he was disappointed when I didn't have it on our list. Make it one of your lunches if you are not to sure.

It's one of our "Must Do's!"

Our next trip in May, first stop, Le Cellier!

Hardest part will be to decide which appetizer!

And it's nothing like doing Italian in Toronto!LOL Le Cellier represents ALL parts of Canada!

Try it for Lunch! If it wasn't good, then it wouldn't be busy all the time!LOL

I'm not Canadian, but i've been to Canada and Le Cellier. I didn't think of Le Cellier as being "Canadian Cuisine" at all(not sure what that would be--Italian, maybe?). The food is fabulous; it's the atmosphere that really makes it Canadian. We went at lunch and ate so much we didn't need dinner. It was our favorite restaurant, after Boma.

It's one of our favourites! DH loves it when I tell him we're eating there. We had our celebration dinner there after the WDW 1/2 marathon in January. There were 9 of us, and when we started discussing where we should have our celebration, it was a no-brainer -- we were all in agreement. :)

We tried Le Cellier last time, and loved it. It doesn't seem to be Canadian food (what is Canadian food, anyway? Chinese curry pizza?) so much as food made with Canadian ingredients, if you see what I mean. The cheddar cheese soup is amazing.

Kungaloosh!
Morticia.

We love Le Cellier it is our favourite place to eat and will be even better once they start getting Canadian Beef back in there.

I cannot wait to go back! I highly recommend their cheddar cheese soup! I was absolutely fantastic! And yes, as hockey mom pointed out, their breadsticks are fantastic. I especially love being able to get a nice Moosehead beer to go along with my meal.

I wouldn't miss this place again. My only regret was that I missed it the first time. Now, I can only dream about it until I get to go back.

For years I avoided it. I thought it would be too expensive and hey. I can have Canadian food when I'm in Canada. Then I read that it was the 3rd best steakhouse in all of Florida, so we went. Now it is a must. Prices are better at lunch. The service was excellent. We have dietary restrictions, and the staff could not have been any better. We always go now. I find it is one of the more quieter restaurants in disney.

We have never tried the restaurant because I have always been so disgusted with the movie in the Canadian Pavilion it kept me away from everything in the Canadian Pavillion. This year we are going to try it for sure, have heard nothing but great things about it!!!!

Hi,

Weird but we did not like it as much as we had hoped. Think they were having a bad day.

Went for lunch, DH liked his meal more than I did mine. Not really bad but not great.

We will give it another try though as I still liked it but was not blown away.

We have never tried Le Cellier in all the times we have visited the World. Next time we have no choice - DS has got a job there starting in September! Word of warning - I know what a klutz he is, patrons may wear more than they eat!

;)

Agreed. Now they just need to serve Rickard's Red and Keith's on tap! :confused3

It's one of our favourite restaurants. I think we've eaten there 4 or 5 times. The best part for me is when we tell them we're from London and they always have someone on staff who is from around here. The CMs are always glad to meet some fellow Canadians. That's why we keep going back.
