Anyone have this problem with Induction?

3 weeks of Induction today. Had a strange medical problem yesterday. Woke up to horrible charley horses is my legs. They went away, I sat up and promptly got dizzy and sweaty. Eventually fell back into bed for another hour. This happened several years ago, and doctor said I react very strongly to dehydration. So I drank lots of water yesterday (oh, yes, also discovered TOM yesterday morning), and today I feel fine. Guess it was probably dehydration and TOM. Just wondering-anyone else experience this?

My Mom had this problem most of my life and it was primarily due to lack of potassium. When you are in the first weeks of a weight reduction system, most of what you lose is water which takes alot of potassium with it.

I had a problem with cramps during induction, too. I'd read about others with the same problem, & as Robinrs suggested, taking a potassium supplement worked for me. I talked it over with my doctor, who felt that potassium would be a good idea for me. I was getting cramps in my hands more than my legs, but I have not had any problem since I started taking the potassium.
I do want to mention that if the problem persists you should consult your doctor. I am not a doctor, so I'm not qualified to give medical advice, I can only share with you what worked for me.

Thanks everyone! I've upped my water and added potasium pills and I feel fine now. I've had this problem a couple times before, and after a week in the hospital, many tests ( MRIs, EEGs, Spinal Tap, etc.), it all came down to my body's reaction to dehydration. And in the 5 days before this "event", I'd lost 4 lbs. Just by drinking more water, I gained 2 lbs. back the next day. But it's just water-not fat!

I never had this problem but I know others who have.
