My family and parents were supposed to go to Disney on Friday. I paid it on my Disney Visa to get the discount. My dad just had an unforseen surgery last week and cannot travel. They will not be going. I am totally thrown off by everything and am not thinking straight. Is this right?

Disney is crediting my Visa with the entire package. Yikes!! It is their money and a few thousand at that that they paid.

Any suggestions on what to do to work this out. I was thinking they would issue a certified check since we have paid the Visa by check already. That is a giant credit to have and not have access to for them.

That makes sense to me that since you paid with the Visa, it would be credited back to the Visa. Maybe you can contact the credit card company (isn't it Chase?) and see if they can issue you a check for the amount of the credit. I know CC companies will usually do that if you have a credit at the time of closing the account, but I'm not sure about otherwise. Good luck!

I agree. It is fairly standard practice to refund money back to the credit card if it was used to pay. It's great you got the entire refund, so I think the next step is to talk to the credit card company and see what they can do.

I'm sorry to hear about your parents not being able to go, hope dad has a quick recovery.

I'm pretty sure they'll issue you a check. :thumbsup2
