Anyone Have Experience with Spirit?

I am considering booking a flight with Spirit Air. I have always flown Northwest. Will I have a comparable experience? My husband is a rather large man, he is very tall and somewhat wide, will he be any less comfortable on Spirit than Northwest?

If anyone has any experience with this airline I would appreciate your input.

We flew Spirit twice last year and we thought they were just fine. The FAs were really nice and on both flights, they seemed extremely happy, almost "Disney like".
The first flight was the older plane and the second, the newer plane and on that the seats seem wider.

I have taken a few trips from Atlantic City to Ft. Lauderdale on Spirit. Staff is very friendly, but I thought that the seats did seem a little cramped compared to USAir or Delta.

We use Spirit whenever we fly to WDW. Never a problem. We had a new Airbus last trip.
