anyone have AAA parking pass to spare?

Thank you everyone that has been nice and supportive. Thanks also to bbdiva. Please PM me when you get it if you can.

Hi!

We booked our package through AAA and are ariving 9/22. We have no need for the parking pass so you are more than welcome to it. Does it come automatically wour info ( we have not recieved anythihng yet) or do I need to request it. Let me know and I will get it to you.

By the way we will be staying at AKL, so if you are there also can deliver it to you.

I found it perhaps a bit more "palatable" to trade for mine rather than simply to request one. We are at WDW so much that it's a big convenience to have one. At the beginning of the year, I bartered with a fellow DIS member for their used pass in exchange for a Disney item. I used it myself and have also loaned it to friends, so it's gotten plenty of use!

For next year, I found a AAA office that will give the pass with a ticket purchase. Even though I get an AP, I will just buy a spare ticket for a family member to use. If your closest office isn't cooperative, call around; different AAA offfices have different policies.

Personally at most of the parks you do less walking by just parking in the regular areas and riding the tram. I know at Epcot you do quite a bit of walking once you are in the AAA parking area.
::yes::
This is what the official Guidebook for Guests with Disabilities says about parking:
"Designated parking areas for Guests with disabilities are available throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort. A valid disability parking permit is required.

Guests with the ability to walk short distances and step up onto the courtesy trams should park in the main parking lots of Magic Kingdom® Park, Epcot®, Disney-MGM Studios, or Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park. The courtesy tram will transport Guests to the Entrance Complex. Parking for Guests with mobility disabilities or who are traveling with personal wheelchairs is available adjacent to the Entrance Complex at each of the four Parks.

Guests should inquire at the Auto Plaza for directions on parking options."

The handicapped parking areas do not have tram service. Since the AAA parking areas are usually failry close to the handicapped parking, they also do not have trams.
The handicapped parking at MGM and Epcot are fairly close to the entrance, but you will always end up closer to the entrance using the trams from the regular lot than using the handicapped (or AAA lots).

I didn't see anything about where you are staying, but if it is on site, the bus is best to use for MK. If you park in the lot, you need to take either the boat or monorail from the TTC to the park. The bus leaves you off fairly close to the turnstiles.
