thinking on doing this on our 7 night webstern cruise anyone has done it ?????

Haven't done the excursion through DCL but I have been there and it is amazing. Lots to do, to much for the time they allot to it but worth the time. If you do plan on doing it I would suggest you google it and look at the map for the park then plan out your day with the things that are most important to the things that may not. That way you will save time wondering what is where.
If you decide to go, have a great time.

Thank you !!! I will do that! Great suggestion like u said i heard is amazing and with the time allowed dont think we could see everything

They will give you a guide for your DCL group. We were taken throughout the grounds, butterfly house, swimming through the cave river, a spot for lunch with authentic fajitas, walked around on our own to see the Dolphins and zoo area, next back with our guide to see alligator ponds, aquarium and Mayan ruins. Awesome day! We plan on doing it again next year.

Your booking window will open at 75 days out. You will book all of your excursion at that time through your account on the website.

Make sure you take motion sickness medicine for the ferry ride over and back.

We did it in November '14 and had a wonderful time. At the time, I was not aware that the ferry ride to the mainland is notorious for causing sea sickness, but we were lucky to go on a beautiful day. Even so, the ride was quite bumpy and we couldn't wait to get off. Aside from that, the excursion, which we did through DCL, was wonderful. The pictures below show the ferry that we took, the dock at Playa del Carmen, the (10 minute) walk past the shops (no time to stop) up to the bus, a map of the park, and various photos from inside it. The park was very clean and beautiful everywhere and almost everyone was very friendly (except from one soda vendor with attitude problems). The Mexican food in the restaurant was surprisingly good and the gorgeous view made for a great lunch. When we did a Western again 6 months ago, we stayed on Cozumel to avoid the ferry ride. I would go again, but I'd watch the weather closely and reschedule the 3 days in advance if the forecast looked windy. Or, as the mom4fun suggested, at least take something against motion sickness.

We've been there several times because we stay next door at the Grand Xcaret. Make sure you do the underground river. So much fun. Advice is to do it first thing as it is very popular.
