Anyone Gone In Mid September?

We're planning our first WDW trip this upcoming September 10-14. Has anyone else been there at this time of year? What are the crowds like? What was the temperature when you were there? Thanks!

i have been in mid september - very humid and a few showers.

the crowds were fine though.

Crowds are usually not bad as most kids are back in school. Do keep in mind that it will still be very hot and humid and it's still towards the end of hurricane season which could affect weather and flights.

Mid Sept is great. Still hot enough to enjoy the water parks and pools but not crazy hot like July and August. The crowds are also very light. We love visiting in Sept. Just keep and eye on the weather channel as it is hurriacane season and plan or adjust accordingly.

Very few crowds. Weather can go either way. One year it rained for long periods every day, another year just showers daily. You never know.

We usually go Mid Sept and it is not very busy, there usually is not much of a wait. The weather is hot, but not scorching. We dress in shorts and tanks. We have brought sweathshirts with us, but have never used them while we were there. I find it to be the best time of year to go.

I am another september visitor...but will be another to warn about hurricanes. Our trip a few years back was suppose to be labor day weekend w/out DS. Due to hurricane...we were cancelled and ended up going the end of the month. That trip was shortened by 1.5 days, as we had to escape hurricane Jeanne. But this past year we were there 9/6 - 9/17 and we were fine...there was a hurricane that flirted w/us on the coast and we had one drizzly day. Other than that it was fine.

We are going on DCL in september this year...and we just bought insurance, just in case.

Our honeymoon was during hurricane flloyd (99) and we were at sea during it....you just never know.

We've been to WDW twice in mid-September. It was hot and humid and rainy. And mid-September is the peak of hurricane season. On one of our September trips there was a hurricane blowing up the Gulf Coast of FL the day we arrived.

But, the crowd level is pretty low and it's value season!

We were there 9/11-18/05. Crowds were almost non existent, but it was very hot and humid and I was uncomfortable. Didn't bother DH or the kids (3 yr olds) as much.
