Anyone going back after a long time away??

We go several times a year but I finally got my parents to agree to go with us in March. They were last there in 1978. Can't wait to see their faces when they see how it has grown!

I am finally going back in 4 weeks after 4 long years since my last trip! I have been going every year since 1992 and this has been the longest between trips. I couldn't take it anymore, no one wanted to go so I booked my first solo trip! Then my good friend that I used to work with who is just like me with Disney, booked his for the same dates but different resort, and we have the same flights so it will be a semi-solo trip! I cannot wait to be back after so long!!! :cloud9::cloud9:

15 YEARS since my last trip!!!! So basically it's like I've never been!! My last trip was with my parents when I was about 15 years old and as I turn 30 next year (gulp) it's my first trip as and adult AND as chief planner

I hear ya! I've been away for 20 years (I was 15 my last trip too), and with all the resorts and packages and dining plans, it really DOES seem like it's my first time. I hope the time flies by until we're FINALLY there!

My last disney trip was in 2010, So it wasn't that long ago, But in between that one and my first trip in 2004, that was 6 YEARSSSSS!!!!!!!!
(Omg, talk about post-disney blues), And i don't think we are going back for at least another 2 years, The wait is agonising! :guilty:
I just wish International travel wasn't so expensive! (Yes, I'm from the UK) :lmao:

My daughter and I are taking our first real vacation there. We went together about 16 years ago but it was for a day (and we used to live in FL). She is now 22 and has been with her boyfriend about 3 years ago. I simply cannot wait! I'm driving her nuts with all the planning lol! We are only going to MK for one day but also hitting Universal too because she refuses to be that close and not get to experience Harry Potter haha!

Yes .. December 5-16, 2013 - 10 Years since our last visit.

Me - 52
DH - 55

We are staying at the POFQ in a King Bed - hopefully with a water view. We booked through Dreams Unlimited Travel. We opted for a 10 day park hopper with the Magic Your Way Dining (hopefully there will be discounts or free dining). I am paying off our vacation little by little each week and should have everything paid by March 2013. I am also purchasing $25 GC to help pay for extra expenses while we are there.

We plan on visiting each resort to look at their decorations. We need to finalize our restaurant choices by June 2013. Dreams is making all of the arrangements which is one positive thing about going through a travel agent. Would love to upgrade to Deluxe Dining but it is $$$ and a lot of food.

Would love some dining suggestions.

So far, I am thinking:

Kouzinna
House of Blues

I am not fussy but my DH is allergic to shellfish and likes basic comfort food (no soups or gravy dishes). Therefore, I have to be a litte picky. He does like chinese, mexican and italian though.

We plan on going to La Nouba our first night.

I grew up an hour away from WDW, and while growing up, I went at least once or twice a year on day trips. The last time we went was in Spring 2002 - we're going in January 2013, and I can't wait! :goodvibes
