That's one thing. I wish they would just hvae a longer break and show the episodes in long runs. I don't like this episode, break, episode, break stuff.
Me too, but I still Like the show! :thumbsup2

I'm not frustrated at all really. I think they have given us a lot of answers. Remember in 'island time' it has only been about 3 months. They can't resolve the entire premise of the show in season 2. If it was all figured out now, there would be no show.

The show-break-show-break is ABC's fault. It has nothing to do with the Lost people. they have said time and time again that they are frustrated with the scheduling. The TV season is the same 32 weeks it has always been, and the networks are still producing 22-24 episodes of shows. They are just spacing them out through 'sweeps' 3 times a year now.

I don't trust ABC any more than I trust Fox.

In this break we get the conclusion of Alias so I don't mind Lost not being on. If you are frustrated with Lost, try being an Alias fan. ABC did everything in their power to distroy that show.

Last season moved very quickly, "Oh My Gosh!" reactions episode after episode. This season is just moving sooooo slowly. I think killing Shannon off was dumb, but I guess they were trying to make room for Anna Lucia and Libby. So far, Hurley has the best storyline this season based on last week's ep.

EW printed the blacklight map in the hatch and they had some interesting theories. I think some of the literary references are being introduced to give Sawyer a bigger role -- he's the big reader on the island and some of those stories are pretty obscure.

The Henry Gale storyline is pretty cool, though.

I've likened Lost to Southwest Airlines releasing it's next round of dates, by the way. It's all a lot of waiting! I think SWA and the Dharma Intitiative are one and the same! :confused3

my only frustration (well, other than shannon's death, I'm still bitter there) is the way american shows are run. I'm not even talking the ep/break/ep/break stuff, I'm talking about I wish it was more like a british show that had a definite beginning/middle end...say, we know ahead of time it will run for 3, or even 4 seasons, then be over. the control over the show would be the creators/writers, not tptb that only want to suck a show dry regardless of story. I have a feeling that the nextwork will continue to drag things out several seasons past what it should be so they can make more money.

I just don't know how Lost is really supposed to have real answers ever because of this. unfortunately what I see happening is me slowly losing interest over time and never being satisfied. which is sad because I've never been so passionate or excited about a tv show before Lost.

I do get a little frustrated with the show due to the breaks. Also, if you miss an episode, you are often "lost" :teeth: I can't even recommend the show to anyone who isn't already watching it, because how in the world would you catch them up? And Sayid is definitely the hottest to me!

The show creators have said in several interviews that they want to show aired in blocks of 8 episodes , then a break, 8 episodes, then a break, and then 8 episodes but ABC won't air it that way.

To answer the OP: I'm still loving Lost as much as ever. As sad as I am that there's no new episodes until May, I'm more excited because Alias is finally back :cheer2:

I quit watching at the beginning of this season--DH still watches it though. Like someone else said, last season had a lot going on. To me, this season was dragging too much & I don't like some of the new characters that were introduced. Those two issues & no resolution on any of the story lines caused me to lose interest completely. I think I might wait a couple years, then watch it on DVD.

I'm loyal to Lost, but am getting frustrated. Each week a new mystery is presented....none are solved. None. If this show is to run for many years, as I predict they want it to....it's just gonna get old. Are all of these hundreds of mysteries supposed to come together in the end? If so....it better be one heck of a wizzbanger conclusion. It better ROCK my world, because I'm not willing to scratch my head for 5+ years trying to figure all this out otherwise. I want just a few moments each season where I sit up straight and say, "ooooh, I get it....WOW, that's cool!"

OMG!! I have been waiting for 3 weeks to book my flight. It's very frustrating too because the schedule goes to Aug 3 which is when I leave, but I can't book my return flight yet. :furious:

Back to the OP, yes I'm very frustrated as well. I would love nothing more than to stop watching it all together. But, I know as soon as I do something big is going to happen and I'm going to miss it. I really want this show to end and end with answers rather than just fizzling out.

I stopped watching it. I felt like I was watching Twin Peaks again. All mystery. No answers. I'm one of those people who likes some things to be wrapped up occasionally. Sorry, but I got bored with it.

I'm surpised it's still going frankly. Many people prefer the one off episode structure of your basic sit-com or drama. Sure you can have story arcs, but not to the level this show requires the viewer to follow along.

On the other hand, with internet groups being a popular as they are, maybe this kind of show is the new standard.

All I know we have always loved this kind of format but watched show after show fizzle out and die. In some cases not even getting a conclusion.

I admit that I was pretty bored with the show in the middle of this season but the last few episodes have been really good and have gotten me interested again.
