My friend and her family are at WDW right now and she has been calling me and texting me the past two days with millions of questions about things in the park. I'm sure this has happened to others, if so, let's hear your story!

No, I just ended up going with my sister and husband in May for their first trip :rotfl: It was alot easier to answer questions in person :teeth: .

P.S. They did appreciate my service as a planner/tour guide and I didn't mind squeezing in an extra trip!!

DS didn't call for advice, but one time he called me from Fantasyland during his senior trip just because he figured I'd be excited. That's for sure! I screamed so loud his friends could hear me. He told me exactly what bench he was sitting on, descibed the view of Mrs. Pott's Cupboard, Dumbo, etc. He was right-it was very exciting!

Not quite, but one of my mom's friends is there right now and my mom asked me if I had any recommendations for her friend's family since I did the bulk of the planning for our May trip.

I went with my sis, and she must have asked me a million questions over the course of the week. It was fun though, I didn't mind. It made me feel smart ;)

I usually get phone calls from family and friends that are there and are telling me what a wonderful time they are having. They may even be watching the fireworks and want me to be here them.

One of my friends went in May. All throughout school, that's all we were talking about. I've been down a lot, and the last time she went down was 4th grade. Then when she was down there, she was texting me and calling me too, mostly just to rub it in my face that she was going on one of my favorite rides or something. :teeth: What a great friend, huh? ;)

Julie - My best friend did the same thing to me - called me from It's a small world. the tiki room. She called my cell while I was at work and would leave me saying "ha, ha we are _____ (where ever) now and then just leave some music/background as a message.

I loved it!!

My friend just did that to me when Spectro was going by! She was like "Hey listen to this!"

Yes that has happened to me. Last time my uncle was in DIsney he kept calling me asking me ticket questions about upgrading. I was like "You are there!"lol Go to a ticket window and see what they tell you.

My favorite phone call came from my sister and her family about 4 years ago. They had had a tough year....illnesses and then their daughter was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder. They decided to take a last minute trip down to Florida. Because money was tight, they stayed off-site and weren't even sure they would visit the parks. Now, she LOVES Disney but she wasn't a full-fledged Disney expert at the time. I had already discovered the DisBoards and had planned two awesome trips for my fam with all the help from the wonderful people and suggestions on these boards.

As they were checking into their hotel, a woman approached my sister and gave them 3 day park hoppers for their family and a ton of free Disney meal coupons. Apparently, this woman knew someone who worked at Disney but they were leaving and didn't get a chance to use them all. (This was obviously before the finger scanning.) I received a phone call from my VERY VERY excited sister asking about good restuarants and things they shouldn't miss as they hadn't been in the parks for a while. I was only too happy to help!! They had a WONDERFUL time! It was certainly a trip to remember, thanks to a very kind lady and some Disney magic! :wizard:

We have friends at Disney right now, staying at SSR, they call or we will call to get updates if anything new or special is going on. There are times that they would if we have ever eaten at a particular place. It is great to have people there that can keep in the know of what is going on at Disney. We do have friends working there also that keeps us informed of the latest happenings.
