Anyone from uk used garden grocer - advice needed

Hello I posted this a week ago on the uk DVC page but have had no response - wondered if anyone here could help? My thinking was to order some things to arrive the same day as us. We will be staying on a wdw resort ( not sure which yet)

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone esp fromuk has used the online supermarket garden grocer to get provisions for their DVC stay? How was it, what was your experience like? Thought it would be good to have something in on arrival day,. Also wondered if you need to do anything for alcohol deliveries? Thank you in advance

We used GG in 2012, staying at OKW.

I did order alcohol, and you have to email them a copy of some ID. I think I used my passport. Once the order had gone thru I did get a call from them to make sure that I was emailing ID, and that I was over 21.

I asked for our order to be delivered between 5pm and 7pm as our flight was landing at MCO at 5pm, so I wanted our order to be at OKW for when we arrived, which it was. The resort will store things correctly for you - ie milk in the cold room etc.

When we arrived at OKW I mentioned to the bell hop that we had a GG order, so by the time we had checked in he had all our luggage and GG order all loaded on the trolley ready to take the short walk over to building 14. He helped us put everything in our studio and so we obviously tipped him accordingly

We would use GG again no problem, hope that helps

Have also used GG staying @OKW.
Worked fine, bell services store everything nicely and it's there on arrival.

When you registered with them was it ok to put your uk address or did u put the okw address?

We used GG last October when staying at port Orleans riverside. Missed getting delivery slot for day of arrival, but booked for the next day and it was held for us at bell services whilst we were out at the parks. Ordered some beer, wasn't asked for any ID. Found it very helpful for drinks, soya milk, breakfast cereal, crisps, snacks and fruit.
Everyday we took snacks and drinks with us to the parks, which being a family of five saved us a fortune.
Going to use them again this year when staying at AKL.
