Anyone from or lived in NC or SC?

I live in central NC and have all my life. I live in Burlington but would recommend the Mebane area as it is growing fast but still has a small town feel. Plenty of acreage in that area.

As for snakes, yeah we have em. Black, copperhead, green, garter, corn etc. Point is I live in a rural area but dont see them very often. I know when to be on my toes, instinct I guess. Leave them alone they will leave you alone.

As for yanks in this area, lots of em moving this way but most people have no problem with this. I understand not wanting to live in the fridgid air all the time. We have four seasons though spring and fall seem shorter than they used too be.
