I'll be honest with you all. We homeschool, and my boys, like most homeschooled kids are not as worldly and aggressive as most boys their age.

I'll probably post this on the DCL regular forum, also.

:cool2: That's awesome. I am home-educated, as well. Mom just made me take a quiz on our last cruise.

Thanks, Turk. The boys are going with their dad have headed down to Washington DC to the Zoom into Engineering Family Festival, but they'll be back tomorrow night or Sunday morning. I know he'll want to correspond.

I can help my 7 (almost 8) year old son compose and email if any of the younger set wants to correspond with him.

Here's a picture (a terrible one because dd was messing with my camera and blurred the lens) of my kids and their countdown chain.

I missed this post somehow. Nice to meet you homeschooler! The countdown chain turned into a math project. LOL. Older ds had to figure out how big to make the strips of paper if they needed 7 strips from each piece of construction paper. Younger ds got a lot of practice spelling the days of the week which he really needed. ;) Etc, etc. Everything's a homeschool project, even a cruise. Seriously, I haven't even thought about how school fits into the picture the week of the cruise. I might just bring a few school books to use as a threat if they don't behave. LOL

The cruise will be a vacation for me, but DM will be sure to make a quiz for it. I homeschool year 'round.

Taking a few books as a threat sounds very effective but will you have room in your luggage? Your family will be so busy, the books will be a distant memory.

Me & my sis made a countdown chain too :P speaking of which mojo: her e-mail is DCDevil2010@hotmail.com feel free to talk to her =) But since we only started from the 90 some day mark it was REALLY short...not to mention the rings are really small too, We've got it hanging in our "Disney Room"...thats the only way i can rember how many days we have left anymore =)

*peeks at the chain* Only 49 more days!!!! :hourglass

Thank you Daniela for the great sites to check out!
I am home today with my DD who is a little under the weather so..... I think I will start putting all their clothes together for the trip!!
Suppossed to snow tomorrow. YUK. :sad2: I am so ready for spring!! And for this trip!!

Now off to start a little packing!!

don't forget the best web site to check out castawayclub(dot)com
It has the most up to date navigators. My dd's were looking at it last night checking out the kids menus. :mickeybar

My oldest dd & I are going to start walking hoping we will be able to fit into our summer clothes a little better by cruise time.

Such a rainy day here today. Guess it would be a good day to make dd's try on their summer clothes.

I packed way too many dresses last trip. This trip I am going more casual. For dinners I am going with capri's for most nights, except formal of course!!

I want to get our family matching T shirts to wear when we board. But haven't found any cute disney ones.

Have a great day.

Hope

forgot to ask..........Is anyone going to Palo??? We didn't on our last cruise, don't know if we are going on this cruise or not. If my dh has a say in it, we will NOT be going. He hates dressing up.

Here is another question.....any guys wearing a tux on formal night. I feel lucky getting DH into a shirt & tie. He didn't take a jacket with him. He felt comfortable with what he had on.

My dad has already bought his Tux, I think there will be plenty of people whearing Tuxes that night, I might actully go and buy one too, but my Older Brother nick says we should go get a pinstripe suit with a pinstripe hat & pink feather w/ a cane...and I'm all for it XD

only 58 more days to go! :hourglass

Yes to Palo, and yes to tux. I was surprised when dh said he'd like to rent a tux. Even though dh is willing to do the tux thing, he's not stuffy. He just likes to try new things. The last time he wore a tux was on our wedding day. I bet your dh doesn't realize how attractive a man is dressed up.

Turk, I'm assuming your brother's at hotmail, also. I wrote down jake_680 but I didn't see the rest. Ds wants to write to him.

It's supposed to snow tonight. We'll see.

Packing!? This early? My parents and I start packing the day before. My dog gets antsy whenever she sees the suitcases being pulled out so we wait until the last minute.

~Daniela~

I do know how handsome my dh is in a tux and you are right, he doesn't!!!! :love2:

I hope you enjoy the snow. We have rain all this week with temps in the 60's.

Our cat climbs into the suitcases and refuses to get out!! We try not to pull them out too soon. I just pile things up in corners so I don't bother the cat :teeth: The things we do for our animals!!!

We are going to try and go to Palo - My husband is not bringing a tux - He usually just brings a nice suit -

Anyone doing the dolphin encounter? Has anyone done it before? Reviews?

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Hello again. We are the group of 15. My DGD princess: 6 has tried on summer clothes & has gotten taller but not bigger around. She liked seeing Kaitlin's picture. The younger ones have gotten snorkel gear for each port. We are splitting up between Stingray City & The pirate: Jolly Roger pirate cruise at G.C. Fury beach party at Coz. Banana boat & snorkling at C.C. I'm so excited :cheer2: I think that we are all set, except for actually packingSee you soon Linda

My mom booked our Parasailing excursion now, all ready for that 600 ft. high view of Castaway Cay :goodvibes Mom has now also added my older brother Nick's best friend, who really needs a vacation, to our cruise...so that makes us a group of 10 now! :earseek:

only 47 more days!!! :hourglass

Thanks for the address, just wanted to make sure. Wow, your mom is really nice to do that for your brother's best friend. What a sweet thing to do.

Dh and I have been parasailing. That was many years ago. On the landing I got majorly dunked in the ocean, not just a little dip. It was just short of scary, but I'd do it again in a hearbeat. I brought my little water proof camera up with me.

Turk- I'm a little to chicken to go parasailing. :earseek: It looks like it would be fun though. Hope you have a great time!!!

Yazee1- Where are you from. I noticed that you stated something about snow. :cold: We are in Florida. :sunny: Only a couple hrs from Disney.

Linda- Glad you got your excursions all set up. We're only doing one in Grand Cayman the island tour and snorkeling with stingrays. We may change our mind but for now that is it.

Hope- do you know how often they change the navigators? Just wondering if it might be to early to try planning things off them?

Jill
