New Disney Ships: News, Rumors, Speculation.....and Names!

Nice, who had that on their bingo card? "Promise and Possibilities" is so vague... hopefully they're able to really play and do some interesting things!
It is vague, but I think so have been the previous Wish class ships. I imagine they just think about what IP to have onboard first and then come up with a loose theme around them. In this case:

"Onboard the Disney Believe, powerful tales of characters who believe in themselves and their dreams will come to life in exciting new ways. From the mystical worlds of Encanto and Frozen, to the wishing wells of Snow White, to the depths of the sea with Moana and The Little Mermaid, there are endless stories waiting to be discovered and new chapters ready to unfold onboard."

After watching a video on the adventure, I truly wish they make one like that for the states. It look incredible and so much better.

I don’t like basically cursing the same ship with different themes.

We already have a lot of Frozen, Moana, and the Little Mermaid. Branch out, Disney! You have soooo much underutilized IP!

(no I have not forgiven them for teasing the possibility of a Hundred Acre Woods, a tea party with Alice* or a Jolly Holiday with Mary and not using any of it yet).

*edit, OK they did JUST add this at the Grand Floridian, but to have that Afternoon Tea on a ship? YES PLEASE!

Agreed! I'd love any of those.

I am excited to see Encanto represented, though. And Little Mermaid makes a lot of sense for a cruise, all I've seen of that on DCL is the statue on the Wonder (but I haven't been on all the ships yet).

What will be next after the Believe? I think both the OLC Wish class ship and the first of the smaller new ships are slated for 2029, I wonder which will go first (and whether anything gets delayed)

She has a show on the Wish as well. I haven't been on Destiny myself, and don't have plans to sail on her or Adventure yet. Possibly ever? Destiny is more accessible, for sure!

I DO plan on being on the OLC ship when/soon after it launches...! My husband will likely roll his eyes at 'wasting' time in Japan on it, so I may have to do it solo though. :rolleyes1

So where do we think this one goes?

My guess is Port Canaveral and the Fantasy or Wish will be sent elsewhere.
I think Port Everglades. The Destiny switches to 3/4n cruises in August 27. A bit early if they are saying late 27 for the new ship sailing but the new ship will draw people to PE vs PC.

The Adventure itineraries are just so awful.

Make a 14-night "Grand Asia" or "Southeast Asia & Japan" itinerary and I'd spend an absolute fortune. But I don't need to fly 20 hours just to spend 3 days at sea (or 7 days at sea with a back-to-back).

This.

Also did they forget they have a show called Disney’s Believe on the Dream/Fantasy? I can see people getting confused by that.
And the "theme" of the Treasure is "Adventure," (then they named a whole darn ship "Adventure," lol).
