We are staying for a short weekend soon and right across the street and won't need a car. Has anyone flown into Burbank, what was your experience and what is the approximate shuttle cost to the DL area?
Just want to see if it's worth it.

Not worth it unless it is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper to fly into over SNA, LAX or LGB and you are renting a car. Depending on travel time, being on the North side of LA trying to get to and from DL can be a nightmare.

For a short weekend, try for SNA if at all possible. That is the closest airport to the parks and will help maximize your time at DLR.

Burbank airport itself is very convenient. It's not the type to have many amenities, but you don't need to show up much before your flight (when I travel for work I use it and only have to arrive at airport about 30 min before takeoff and I still have time to get thru security, grab a muffin, and sit before boarding).

But in terms of distance from Disney-not so much. Without any traffic it is usually 1 hr or more. If you are arriving or leaving anytime remotely rush-hour it's going to be closer to 2 hrs because you basically go thru downtown. They don't even have a dedicated Disney shuttle, so you'd have to go with supershuttle which can be $50-60 per person each way.
