I see Delta flights nonstop from Boston to MCO for November @ $99. w/free 1 check bag.
I haven't flown Delta since discovering Jetblue. Anyone fly them recently? Any opinions on there quality? Do they have alot of flight changes in the last couple months before travel? Are they punctual?

I used to enjoy flying with them. Especially the old Delta Song airline.

TIA

Wow! What a great price...DS used to fly Boston/MCO on Delta all of the time until the prices went out of sight. Their last trip on Delta was in January, and for their December trip, Delta's prices are $600 + each (family of 5)...IF they had their way, they prefer Delta, but their next trip is on SW out of Manchester.

The last time we flew Delta non-stop BOS to MCO was Feb. 2009. The price couldn't be beat $250 PP RT. We reserved our tix @ 10 mos. before our trip; they changed equip (planes) and seats several times before our actual flight - one time they didn't even re-assign our seats when I checked online and I had to call them. In order to get our three seats together we had to take window seats and go through the Q&A drill about being in an "emergency exit" row (not of our choice).
All of our family flew Delta (18 of us) and most had seats re-assigned etc. upon departure.
I would love to fly JetBlue again for our next trip and am waiting for fares to come out later this summer!

my girlfriend and i flew this past january (7am flight out of boston and a return flight of 7pm from MCO) - and it was a piece of cake. we boarded fast - they listed the flight a little over 3 hours, but our trip down was barely 2 1/2 hours. the return flight was about 3 hours. had a great experience overall.

we've rebooked with delta for our upcoming trip in october. i booked our flight in march - and in the last 70 days i've had two flight changes. nothing bad - just by a few hours. (originally slated to leave at 11:30am. than changed to 10:00 - then that changed to 7am). we were fortunate enough to land tickets at $230/each for round trip. not terribly bad! this day and age, any flight going this distance under $250 is a solid find :)

I haven't seen Delta flights that low for awhile now..and one free checked bag?? Are you part of a plan that gets you that first bag free? Otherwise, Delta charges for all checked bags.
I used to love Song...hated when it went the way of the dinosaur. I have flown Delta some since then. But, they do make constant flight time changes. I don't think there has been one flight I've booked that hasn't changed at least once. But, if you keep an eye on your flights, you should be okay.
I also always feel cramped when flying Delta...there just isn't all that much space in the seating area. I love JB for that..lots of leg room for my long legs.
I would have to get a very good fare in order to fly with Delta again.

You can be guaranteed at least one change to your flight times due to the daylight savings time change in the fall. I can't ever remember Delta not changing a BOS to MCO flight that crossed the DST line between booking and travel time and I'm a 2MM miler on Delta and have flown all variations of Delta (Delta, Delta Express, Song) to MCO over the years.

Since the NWA merger, the equipment on the BOS flights has been changing from mostly MD-88/MD-90 to a mixture of MD's, A320's and 737-800's.

You must be a Silver Medallion or higher status to get one free bag as that isn't offered to my knowledge unless you have status with Delta.

We fly DL alot, and regularly take their Non-stop flights BOS>MCO. That is a very good price and I wouldn't expect a better deal.

thank you everyone. Thanks to all that pointed out about the charges for baggage. I mis-read the baggage info. I wouldn't get free baggage.

I flew on Delta June 5 and returned June 9, I paid (with tax etc) $186 round trip. 3 people, paid for 1 checked bag. So add about another $7.50 to the price. I had the 7 am flight out. If you think back - that was the weekend of the horrible thunderstorms. I had just gone through security when my phone rang - Delta telling me my flight was delayed 2 hours. Great. 1/2 hour later - another phone call - may be able to get you out at 8 am. Sure enough we left at 8 am - ended up only being 30 minutes behind schedule when we landed. The plane was not full, was encouraged to find another seat if we wanted to spread out.

The flight on the way home - 11 am - they had a ticker on their departure screen that the flight was overbooked that if you wanted to fly later please step up to the desk. I didn't check it out - we had a puppy at home we were eager to be reunited with. Plane flew out on time and we actually arrived 20 minutes before schedule. I left the terminal to go get our car at Preflight - we were barely out of the airport and DH called to say he already had the bag and was waiting at the curb.

We did pay the $9.95 for the inflight WiFi. On the way down I rented a cheap 1.99 movie from Amazon, I wish I had thought of downloading one before we went. The reception wasn't the best, but wasn't too annoying.

I just flew Delta to Ft. Myers out of Logan in March, no complaints at all, they took off early for both segments too. :thumbsup2

Wow wish I saw this yesterday, just checked for November and its $375 R/t now.

Never been lucky enough for a non stop but flew Delta last August and it was fine.:thumbsup2

I will be flying Delta from BOS to MCO on Saturday. I much prefer Jetblue but the $$ difference (upwards of $800 for four of us) made me go with Delta this time. This is our fourth trip BOS to MCO, Song the first, Delta the second, Jetblue the third. I do miss Song like so many others and hope I do not regret not flying with Jetblue this time. I usually go out of my way to fly JetBlue, even on business.

Delta will change flight times and seats (and not re-assign sometimes as previously mentioned) a lot if you book out more than 6 months. Keep checking your reservation online through the months. Their planes are definitely more cramped and employees not as fun as on JetBlue. That being said, $99 each way sounds like a great deal. Sometimes, as in my recent case, the wallet does make the decision.
