Anyone fly Allegiant air?

I've flown Allegiant to Vegas and was pleasantly surprised with their service. I am starting to think about a trip to WDW next spring and am praying they are still flying to Sanford then! Can't beat the prices or the non-stop flight. It's hard to fly anywhere out of DSM without changing planes.

Go Hawks! :cheer2:

I am considering flying Allegiant from Lansing to Sanford. If you have flown into Sanford before what do you do about tranportation from the airport to the hotel. I would like to avoid renting a car and am not sure what other options are available. Thanks for your input.

I haven't traveled yet, but did a little research. Car service between Sanford and WDW looks to be around $200 round trip. For that, you can rent a car for the week - even if it just sits at your resort parking lot the entire time.

Allegiant flies all jets, MD-80 series, with about 120 or so seats. No scarf and goggles needed! :sunny:

Hope this helps!

My sons just returned from a trip and we used Allegiant Air out of Des Moines. The flights went very well and they had no trouble at Sanford Airport.

Thanks for all the replys I think we are gonna try them next trip. :cool1: it will save us money and time!

Anyone know how big their planes are?

LOL! Thanks! DH gets motion sick, so small planes are bad. From his reaction to the price, though. I think he would have taken a 4-seater. I was able to move arrival day up 1, add rental car, add a night at the POP and still came out $150 less than what I've been seeing!!!! :cool1:

Darn, got to change my ticker. ;)

I have nothing to add other than...

GO GREEN!

PD to my fellow Spartans!

Your post made me laugh. I didn't know you Michigan Tech folks had such a sense of humor! I'm actually all mixed up: MSU undergrad, UofM law, parents employed by CMU, husband a prof at GVSU, and I'm on the board of another Michigan university.

I sent an e-message to Allegiant asking about the February schedule. The auto reply said to expect a response in 7 to 14 business days.

Yeah, us engineers get a bad rap. You are messed up! I think you need some UP connections now. Good luck with your trip! I'd better get back to driving this train. ;)
