Airfare for April is about $200 rt/non-stop to MCO. That's quite a price considering that right now, airfare is about $469-$760 pp/rt on USAir, Delta, Song, JetBlue, American, etc.

Like any airline, I have heard good and bad things about this airline. One thing to keep in mind is that their flights are very limited and don't operate every day. If you have a very flexible schedule and it doesn't matter if your flight gets cancelled until the next day, then I would try them. If not, then I wouldn't take the chance, IHMO.

Laurajean,
I found fares on JetBlue to MCO for around $250 from Newark in April. Where are you flying from - I see you are from CT?

I am not sure if they cancel flights a lot. But if they do, you are probably stuck because they don't operate everyday and have very limited flights. IMO, I like to take airlines that have multiple flights daily to my destination just in case there is a cancellation.

DO NOT FLY USA3000!

We were supposed to leave from Newark to MCO on Saturday 9/17...rec'd call from USA on Thurs & was told our flight was cancelled! We had been rescheduled to a Cont. flight that left at 8:30pm! I told the representative it was not an option for that flight time 'cause I'm traveling w/a 21 month old who'se bedtime is 8pm!

I got the manager on the phone & I requested a refund. He said "no" because they provided me w/an alternate flight..it wasn't his fault that the flight was not feasible to my schedule. He basically didn't care. I started crying & swearing & hung up. My husband called 'em back & we had to CHANGE our dates from Sat to Sun. In addition to that, we had to call AAA to arrange the new hotel dates. We even had to change hotels from POP to AS Music. DH asked the manager if THIS flight was being cancelled...the mgr said "no". Apparently our flight was cancelled 'cause there wasn't enough people. Profit, profit, profit.

In addition to the above annoyance, I had to change ADR's & lost our ADR for Cinderella's Castle which we are unable to get into for that week. Arrgh, I've never eaten there & w/the dining plan wanted to so badly.

I am paranoid that next Sun we will be stranded in NJ & I had originally wanted to drive down buy dh is refusing to.

I highly recommend you DO NOT fly USA3000...don't do it!!

Just my .02

I cannot find flights lower than $400 out of NY or CT airports.

We are going Easter week, so I doubt that a flight would be canceled based on lack of volume. It maybe cancelled for other reasons, but I think the flight will fill up fast.

I am tired of playing the "waiting game." DH and I waited 4 months for SWA to open their flight dates and within an hour, all flights were sold for the dates we needed.

I cannot wait by the computer for SWA or other airlines to graciously lower their already overpriced rates.

We flew on Airtran when they first came around and we heard they were terrible. We flew with them in April last year and they were good, except they have lots of connections.

It's hard to go on vacation during Spring Break.

Well, we are flying them Nov 25th out of Philly. I know that the plane is not FULL yet as seats are still available. I'm going to assume that we will by flying them and hope that in the very least they get us on another flight.

My post about them 3 months ago brought in mostly positive feedback. Hopefully they are not slacking off as I have 2 more months to go!

Good luck! Their rates are terrific. $120 rt here!

I can tell you USA3000 recently stopped serving meals on their flights to keep their prices down. They just started flying to Orlando this month and alot of the first flights have not been full because not everyone knows they fly there now. They only fly to Oralndo out of PA on tuesdays and fridays. All in all I think they are good for the money.

I was wondering when they would cut back on the customer service to stay so cheap. Sorry to hear the meals are gone. I hope nothing else disappears before we fly.

They have a ton of advertisements along the NJ Turnpike. That is how I got the info to look them up online.

I fly out of Cleveland, and have traveled with them 4 times. So far, everything has been excellent! All of the flights were full, and with the offering of non-stop flights and meals, we couldn't have been more pleased!

I hope that everything goes well on the flight that I booked with them for early November! ;)

WE are flying out of PHL in Nov/Dec on Sunday and returning on Monday, I made these reservations months ago, and just checked last week what the current prices were, so I could be reasurred of my deal. If they only fly out of PA on Tues and Fri it must not been from PHL. I'm going to check now just to make sure! We got $59 each way.

One of my bosses has flown (also knows someone high up the chain for them), my brother has also flown and both have been satisfied and both recommended to me.

Good luck!

We've flown USA 3000 3 x's and never a problem, one flight was virtually emty. There couldn't have been more than 20 people on it.

Sorry when I was looking for a flight (CLE) they only flew on tuesdays and fridays. The Orlando flight I believe comes in from one of the PA airports. The did just drop the meals on the FL flights. They still do the juice bar. If anyone has any questions let me know. My sister works for them out of Cleveland I will do my best to find an answer for you.

I am now just a little worried that they were not doing so well after reading several reports of empty flights and now they dropped the meals (although that could be to compensate for gas prices).

Are they still up and running and planning to continue? Thanks so much!!!

They are still up and running. There is nothing really to be worried about. They are one of the first new airlines after 9/11. The airline is doing well. They did drop the meals to keep the ticket prices the same because of the gas prices. My sister has worked for them for almost 2 years now. They are looking into buying a new plane and hiring more staff.

Consider barb007's post. As a charter airline they don't have to give you a refund as long as they get you to your destination the same day as your reservation. They're owned by Apple Vacations and if they need the plane to go to Cancun your flight is history.

Well, we booked our trip for April 06 with them. I can't take playing the "when will SWA release their flights." Last year we did this and I checked everyday. One morning at 11:00 am, I checked their website and nothing.

Two hours later, I saw a thread here about flights. I booked over to the website and they were gone. In less than two hours - I put too much effort into that and got nothing out of it.

We're traveling Easter week, so I'm sure their will be people on the flight, hopefully enough to keep the flight going. If not, then we'll stay at our friends room or hang at the airport for the next flight.

We are meeting 5 families there and we did not want to waste time looking each day for a flight.

I flew on Aug 19 1st time from ft myers fl to philly they were nice served juices then lunch a sandwich which was good and then drinks soda water, etc flew airtran 1st time aug 15 philly to tampa they both take pets and SWA doesn't that's why I used them .have to now take a small 3 lb dog also my luggage got wet 1 bag and they sent me a voucher for $50.00 good for a year
