I have starwood points, so I booked 2 rooms here (for us and my sister's family) for FREE for the night before we check in @ CBR. Has anyone stayed here before? Just wandering what your experience was, and pics if you have any.

Thanks :thumbsup2

I did a few years ago. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel is just a few minutes away from Downtown Disney. We ate in the restaurant every morning and the food was good. The kids liked the pool slide, but I only tried the hot tub, since the pool water was a little cool for me in November.

Thanks, the pics on the SPG website look pretty decent. I think we will be ok with this one. ;)

We stayed there for 3 nights a few years back in a Safari Suite(we booked through Hotwire and when we showed up no regular rooms available so we were upgrades to the suite) - Had no problems with this hotel at all - had heard horror stories prior to check in but we encountered no issues:goodvibes

Have you looked on Trip Advisor dot com? In the site, just do a search for the hotel and you'll get the reviews. Like most hotels, you'll see some good and some bad reviews, but it's always helped me in my decision making.

Have done the same--stay in combination with onsite hotels with our SPG pts. Been here about 4 different trips. Always get the safari suite which has a balcony over a nice pool courtyard, a fridge, and micro and seperate sitting room with pull out. My kids actually loved the hotel. The beds are very comfy. The pool is fun with a snake slide. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and if you like to walk, DD is doable. But, a bit of a trek. There is an Olive Garden right beside, Pizza Hut, grocery store at Crossroads a short walk and numerous other restaurants nearby! We have had good stays here. Staff very courteous and room definitely bigger than value and moderates. Still love to be onsite but for the offsite portion, you can't go wrong here.:thumbsup2 Hope this helps.

If you get a room on the right side of the hotel looking at it from the front you can sit out on the balcony at night and watch the fireworks from WDW. The pool has a waterslide shaped like a snake, kids love it. Also, the street that you turn into to get to the hotel parallels the Interstate. If you follow it you can get to Seaworld, a post office and a Walmart Supercenter. A couple miles straight past the Walmart and you are at Universal Studios. It's a sneaky convenient location.

We stayed here in 2007 and loved the hotel. My daughter was almost 5 and had a blast on the waterslide. The safari theming is very well done. I would lvoe to stay here again!

Thanks to EVERYONE, I'm really feeling good about staying here now. :goodvibes

Thanks to purseval for such a great tip! Watching the fireworks the nite before we get there would be a great way to start our vacation. I hope we can get the room we want.

Just ask at the front desk when you check in, tell them you want to be able to watch the fireworks. Also ask about Palm Parkway (I think it's called that), the road that leads to Walmart. There is a Goodings that is a lot closer to the hotel, it has really nice stuff in it but it's very expensive because it caters to a crowd that wants good food and isn't concerned about the price. We go there to get British goodies for my wife when we're in town but for regular shopping the Walmart or Publix is the place to go.
