Anyone ever stay at Liki Tiki Village

We're staying there the end of September and ther reviews on TripAdvisor are not that great. I'm getting a little scared. We went down a couple years ago to Daytona and sat thru one of thos Club Navigo timeshare presentations and was given the free week at their Orlando resort which is Liki Tiki. I'm hoping since they want us to buy something that the resort is not as bad as the reviews make it sound. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Do a search on this board but truthfully i stayed there once and it was NOT great. Lots of people like it and I guess it is all dependent on what you consider. I was there on a deal and the rooms were disgusting BUt they did have a newer area and when we went on the tour it looked good.

DEMAND one of the new areas.

My friend and her family went last winter with their 9 yr old son and 12 year old daughter and the whole family had a blast and loved their whole stay!

I was considering it ourselves btu amybe next time!

in October, and I'm getting a little nervous as well. We're getting an extremely good deal on it though, so as long as it's clean and the staff are decent then I'll be fine. Any thing else would be a bonus!!! I've always worked in the hospitality industry and I know that some people are just never happy and have their expectations so high that it'd be impossible to please them so I read the negative reviews very warily. I work in a 4 diamond hotel and you'd be amazed at the stupid things will complain over. At any rate, good luck and yes request a newer unit I hear great things about them. Are you staying in a 1 or 2 bdrm unit?

May I ask where you are getting the great deal from as we may stay one day before we go to WDW and the ratea I am getting are rather high!

BTW, I called my frined who aka is a charge nurse and asked about the cleanliness of the resort. SHe informed me she was pleasnatly surpirsed she always inspects thoroughy before staying! Also this gal is a traveler!!! Wish I could travel as much as she does and when she gives thumbs up I can say with confidence its a winner!

We just stayed at Liki Tiki Village this past July. Our room was in the 400 building (not one of the newer buildings). Our room was clean and decent. The only problem I had was that it was a handicap accessible unit and the water got all over the floor in the shower.

Other than that, the unit was good. The kids had a good time at the pool area, and I did not have anything to complain about.

My family stayed a year or so ago in the 700 building and everything was fine. We had a two bedroom and a one bedroom with connecting doors. It was clean and very nice. The water park pool is great but not as warm as the other pool. We had a great vacation, no complaints at all.

My sister stayed there last year and liked it a lot. However, my sister is a big fat slob, so I'm not sure if I would take her reccomendation.

Thanks for the reviews and advice. They have eased my stress level a little. I have requested a room in the 1200 building, so hopefully we'll get it. That seems to be the nicest area. We're staying in a 2 bedroom. Thanks again.
