We bought 220 points in March, 2009 and, of course, with the new incentives, we are going to make some sort of change. Right now, we are thinking about either decreasing our points to 200 or increasing them to 240 based on the following calculations:
200 points @ $112 = $22,400
less $3,200 (discount for incentives) = $19,200
($16 discount per point; BLT points therefore cost $96/point)
240 points at $112 = $26,880
less $4,320 (discount for incentives) = $22,560
($18 discount per point; BLT points therefore cost $94/point)
Since we paid $23,540 for 220 points when we bought in March, either way, with the new incetives, we will be saving money. BUT, I was wondering if we will be able to successfully decrease from 220 to 200 if we opt for that route (I'm *sure* we'll be able to increase from 220 to 240 with no problem).
If anyone can provide any input, I would appreciate it. We're calling our Guide today, but I just wanted to know what to expect. I will, of course, report everything he says regarding the new incentives, etc. Thank you so much for any input you can provide!
