Anyone ever purchased extra miles for Delta?

i am short 3000 miles from having enough FF miles to get to tickets. Has anyone ever purchased miles to post to their account? How long does it take to show and can you do this online?

The miles will post immediately. Once you purchase them, you would be able to use them for the award tickets. At least this was how it was a few years ago.

Before you spend the money on the extra points, see if you can actually get the flights you want for that number of points. While DL may advertise flights for 25000 miles, you often need to pay more than that to get the flights you want on the days you want.
