I ask because there was a mistake made when I made reservations at chef mickey. I just had this horrible feeling that the woman misunderstood me and put me down for party of 6 instead of 6 and a high chair meaning party of 7. I called and sure enough it was party of 6. The woman was very unhelpful (couldnt change or make another reservation at that time , ony bump me up to 830 from 745), I know she was probably just reading from a screen so I asked to speak to a manager to see if he could figure it out and of course they dont have any. She gave me an email address , I emailed them but no answer. I called back later and spoke with another woman who was very helpful and resolved my issue but what if I hadnt called back???

It really wouldn't have been a big deal. If this had been my first time dealing with ADR's I probably would have freaked out too and tried to get it straightened out but having dealt with changes in my ADR's before--I have just learned to let it be and straighten it out upon arrival to the restaurant. Our experience with this is that my Brother in law is a doctorial student at Florida State and whenever we go down to WDW he inevitably drops in. Some years I go ahead and add him into our ressies and if he's there great and if he's not--I simply tell them at the podium that "instead of 5 there's only 4" or whatever. Times he shows up out of nowhere when I have made a reservation without counting him--I simply tell them we have a stray--No one has ever given me a problem whatsoever. HTH!! Amanda

I was trying to tell that to the first woman saying I dont even need a chair just a high chair to pull up to the table!! But she kept saying she cant change it in the system so I considered just showing up but for first timers I dc would be heartbroken if something had happened. SO instead of getting a ressie for party of 7 for 745 I have party of 8 for 745 , two tables of 4. When I show up i'm supposed to tell them one didnt show and see if they can sit us together, or at least next to each other.

They will--Last year me and my family all went down. Well after we made our ADR's, my sister's husbands parents and brother decided they'd join us--well I was afraid to push my luck by showing up with 3 additional people (I do have SOME limits :lmao: ) So I just made them ADR's for the same time ours were and we were always sat together throughout our 8 day trip. If I read correctly, you don't have your first requested time?==if that's the case, I would keep calling back to check on cancellations to get your original time.

I really really wouldn't worry about it, just because you have that reservation # you don't technicly have a reservation. They aren't holding a table for you at that time, it is just reserving your spot in line for your party size at that particular time. I have traveled several times and I have never had a problem adding someone, deleting someone, and at times I have traveled with a group, they have always told me on the phone that the party will be split and it has never happened but once, and that is only because at the time they only had 2 tables of 4 and we were hungry so we took em. Really, don't worry, be happy.

also remember that wdw dine is more of a call center - and when you show up you are talking to the restaurant, they always are so magical!!

I agree, keep calling, because the busy places often do run behind in adr times - very rare can you show up early and get an earlier time slot! (due to rare no shows at popular places!!)

I had a CM that booked me the wrong day for CRT! She gave me January instead of May (mind you all my other ressies were in May and I was going day by day.) She charged my card, had to refund me, and then charge me again. It was an hour phone call. But at least it was all resolved and she did give me the cancellation confirmation number in case I was charged twice. At least it's all okay now. :)
