We are going in Nov :cool1: But I cannot see paying soooo much $$ for lunch in the parks. Has anyone ever gotten a childs plate for themself?? or are the childrens plates large enough for you and your child to share?? Thanks

I get the child's meals at the counter service restaurants a lot. They are a perfect portion for an adult. I don't think there would be enough to share though unless you and your child were extremely light eaters.

I order most of my meals (at least breakfast and lunch) from the child's menu. Not only is it cheaper, but I just don't eat enough to order the adult meal. I eat often, but not huge portions in one sitting :rotfl:

No one has ever questioned me when I order so you should be fine.

I haven't done it, but would if I wanted something light for lunch and/or to hold me over until dinner. Depending on the age of your child, you might be able to share. The portions are quite small though. I definitely couldn't share with my DS10 unless we're just eating it as a snack.

Kids meals are huge, but the selection is not so great. While you would have tons odf things to choose from the kids meal choices may be mac & cheese, hot dog, nuggets, or pb&j.
Have you considered adding the dinning plan? You get one counter meal, on snack, and one sit down dinner w/ appetizer and dessert for $34 per adult, per day. We added that to our plan, and plan to eat breakfast in the room, split a morning snack, and split an afternoon snack. That way everything is civered by the plan. We will have a character meal everyday for no extra charge. THis is a great way to eat at the nicer resturants with out paying $50 just for one meal.

I forgot to mention that I think the price of the dining plan in $22 for children. SO for 1 adult and 1 child it would be around $55 a day which when you consider appetizer and dessert one meal a day could cost way over that. Especially if you consider the fact that you can have a character meal a day.

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to order the kids menu. I am just so ready to go!!!!!! :cool1:

I ordered a childs' pasta at Disneyland Paris. DH and I split a salad and the pasta...it worked out great.

this past july we found grilled chicken strips with vegetables that came in childrens meal. It was very good. I was tired of eating hamburgers all the time. I always buy the childrens meals for myself if I am not that hungry but have to eat. Nobody has ever questioned me.
