Anyone else watching "Revenge"?

Agree -- the backstory for everyone was really helpful. Very interesting that Emily helped Ashley from becoming a prostitute -- so did Ashley know Emily when she returned to the Hamptons, and is she actually a double "agent" and part of Amanda/Emily's revenge plan?

I was beginning to wonder that as well. This was the first time they even touched upon how they knew each other.

I'm not sure I totally trust Aidan. I was acually surprised she showed him the box.

I don't trust Aidan either. I can't figure out if we are supposed to or not either.

I think Ashley knows more about Emily than we originally thought. She was her "in" into the Hamptons and the Graysons. I know Aidan said to be wary of her and since I don't trust Aidan, I'm not sure who is the greater ally.

I don't like that the ex-CFO is now contacted by Daniel. He knows that Amanda got the Nolcorp money. Daniel knows that "Amanda" doesn't have money. It's a good way to learn that Emily is Amanda.

I forgot. Mason Tredwell knows the truth doesn't he? He figured it out, or Emily told him?

Mason put it together... but Emily blackmailed him into confessing to... something that would put him into prison until it all comes out - with a promise of his release then, and rights to write the story then.

I think Ashley is just Emily's first pawn and she's smart as a pile of bricks. She had no idea who Emily was since she was in the stall. Starting to get iffy on Aiden now, I'm wondering if their individual revenge plots interfered with each others.. like if Emily succeeded then Aiden's plot fails and vice versa.

What was that part about Aiden's father being a baggage handler? Emily said something like "that's how they got the bomb on the plane" but it was so quick I missed it. Can someone clear this up for me?

Aidan's dad was a baggage handler on the flight that the Initiative blew up. I think Emily believes that they used Aidan's dad to get the bomb on the plane.

I'm now wondering if the taking of the sister is connected to the father's involvement with the flight. Why was Takeda interested in avenging or finding Colleen? Aidan said she had to persuade Takeda to take him on after the incident in Russia so they didn't know each other until then.

I still don't trust Aidan. He was shady with the Nolan/David Clarke stuff with Daniel. There is just something not right. I also think that their revenge plots may eventually clash.

Anyone catch the comment that the new co-owner of the bar said to Declan about his dad and whiskey? I think it confirmed that his dad was the man shot with Declan and Jack's dad's gun in the flashback. Guess if he and his brother think Jack and Declan's dad killed their dad, it'd help explain why they're so interested in the bar.... maybe they've got their own kind of revenge planned.

I caught that too. At least that story line is starting to make alittle more sense now.

Yes, I suspected that even before the whiskey remark. I'm glad that the man who actually shot the new co-owner's father warned Jack about him. It will be interesting to see what Nolan digs up about him (new guy) and his family. popcorn::

Not to me. The people running protection rackets don't wait 20 years to take revenge for a killing like that. The new partners' father wasn't working alone, and someone would have either killed Carl, Carl's friend, burned down their businesses, or all of the above.

They're not going to be that subtle.

I thought they said it only happened 6 years ago and also that the one brother had been in jail? He fell into the water. I wonder how long it took for the body to be discovered?

Yes, it wasn't that long ago, but still . . . we're talking the Mob here, or at least a well-organized gang. The people with/for whom the father was working wouldn't wait around for the brothers to take revenge. Killing the guy collecting the protection money is bad for business; they would have retaliated immediately. There's no way Jack would have remained in the dark.

I wish that the issue had been more a personal one, like Carl having an affair with their mother or something. Then it would make some sense.

Is anyone else planning to watch the new episode tonight?

I hate to say this, but they're losing me. I loved this show in the beginning, but now the plot (plots) are getting too complicated and far fetched for me. I don't enjoy needing a playbook to follow a tv show, it's too much work.

I said nearly the exact same thing to my husband after the new episode the other night. They're introducing too many new people, too many new sub-plots, it's getting too confusing. Why not resolve a few of the storylines before they introduce new ones?

Glad I'm not the only one ready to throw in the towel.

My DH was saying the exact opposite! He was beginning to think this season wasn't doing much for him, then we watched this weeks episode and he said they are back to enjoyability of last season.
I agree there are too many plots to keep track of, but I still love the show. I especially love Nolan! He has some of the best lines!
I'm wondering if it's going to Declan that was found dead or if that's just what the writers want us to believe right now.

I love Nolan, too, but the ex-boyfriend/co-worker guy I cannot stand. Sometimes I think I'm only still watching because I love to look at Daniel so much. :confused3

To me it seems they weren't expecting the show to be such a hit. If this was just Amanda's personal vendetta against the Graysons, it could have been wrapped up in 1 season. Then they started adding more to the story to drag it out longer.

I still like the show, but it sure has gotten so much more complicated.

That's interesting. I felt like Sunday's show brought back some of the original feel of season 1 - each episode Amanda/Emily takes out 1 person who wronged her or her father. They even went back to crossing out faces in pictures. The Jack story lines don't really interest me and I find Emily/Amanda's simpering and pouting irritating.popcorn::
