Anyone else waiting for jetBlue to release April 2008?

We were supposed to fly Jet Blue out of JFK (fares were much less than out of BDL ) and we ended up actually flying Jet Blue out of White PLains because we left the morning of the Nor'easter :scared: . (Jet Blue let us change the flights w/o charge because of the weather :thumbsup2 ).

We're looking to fly out of White Plains again in April on Jet Blue (I checked the flights for Presidents week out of HPN and they're still less than BDL, so hopefully that's good news for April vacation).

We are flying out of White Plains again in Sept. When we flew out of there in June our flight with them was cancelled on the way down so we had to take an AirTran flight down........

I actually want to do the opposite. I want to fly from MCO to SYR (Syracuse NY) on March 12 of 2008 on Jet Blue. ºOº

Any guesses now as to when they will release more dates...

I am happy my fall flight went down to fifty nine dollars.........:cool1: :cool1:

I'm thinking it has to be soon. I've been checking every day, multiple times a day! Last year it was July 31 or Aug 1 or something around there.

I don't think we can rely on Kayak to have the info earlier than jetBlue this time. JB's fares for Feb are on JB's website, but when I do a Kayak search for Feb vacation dates, I don't get JB at all. :confused3

Congrats on saving some money on your fall flight!

I did a round trip in mid March of this year (Syr/Mco). I flew down on a Monday and back on a Thursday I think. I got the direct flights and prices weren't bad at all.

When I was on the phone with JB for over an hour to get my credit for my fall flights. The women said more dates would be released this week. It was getting porcessed into their!!!!Take it for what it's worth. When I called back and spoke to a different agent and asked her she acted like she did not know what I was speaking off....

Keep in mind that Easter falls in March this year, so you will be competing with holiday travelers for a couple of weeks.

Easter is March 23?, so I would think the week before that and the week after will be bad. March 12th shouldn't be problem I would think. Especially because it's a Weds.

In June we flew JetBlue out of Whiteplains, NY.........Kristin

We were supposed to fly Jet Blue out of JFK (fares were much less than out of BDL ) and we ended up actually flying Jet Blue out of White PLains because we left the morning of the Nor'easter :scared: . (Jet Blue let us change the flights w/o charge because of the weather :thumbsup2 ).

To both of you, how is parking at White Plains? I am trying to convince my dh to fly out of NY vs Hartford. We are about 45 min south of BDL & more then an hour to NY as we live near the CT river. But I can stay at my parents house north of Bridgeport & drive from there in the am.

So as I was searching flights, I saw Jet Blue fly's out of WP. I have never flown out of there just JFK & LGA (as well as BDL). I think I can convince him if parking is OK & by the looks of it, it is only a few dollars more a day then the main lot in Hartford. Or my father can drive the 5 of us if need be too.

Parking is expensive - $21 - 22 a day...and the airport's website suggests getting rides if you can. We were lucky and found a spot on the roof of the parking garage this past April and are debating whether to take our chances if we fly out of White Plains again. If you're flying a non-peak time (not a holiday) it should be ok.

The airport is small - only two gates (yes I was surprised - I thought it'd be similar to BDL but it's not), but you can't beat a direct flight to MCO! Plus you avoid all the NYC traffic (which is what I am afraid of in flying out of JFK - I can't even comprehend driving to LGA).

Just a suggestion, don't know if it will work for you or not, but we rent a car from our home airport the night before we fly out, and take it back the morning of the flight. It is only for one day , and Enterprise usually has a good one day rate here. That way our car sits home in the driveway and makes it look like someone is home, and we aren't paying a daily rate for our car to set in a parking lot. We reserve a car for the trip home also, and return it the next day at our leisure.

Ok guys, I bit the bullet. For next April (our dates, 16th-26th), I had already booked Delta one way at 119.00. I was getting too nervous on waiting for jetblue for the return when I saw February. So I took a look at USAir for Feb. return date of the 23rd (Sat.) and just about every coach flight was sold out, so that is comparable to April 26th for me. So I did it, I booked Sat., 26th, at 234.00 one way. A total of 384.00, with tax, round trip. I don't like it, but anything is better than the ridiculousness of Delta and Jetblue right now and the fact they are charging 800.00 round trip for non stop. At least its done and I can start planning other things for the trip!:)

So...we're laying over in Phil. Anyone have any experience with this airport, its a 45 minute layover.

I saw that price. Hartford is $19.50/day I think since my dh likes to park in the main parking deck (spoiled from parking there for work). So a few extra dollars won't break the bank if I can save a $100~ per ticket.

My sister fly's in/out of there a few times a year too. My father usually takes her/picks her up (she lives in Louisville).

Per map quest it is a 1 hr & 35 min drive from our house (my town borders the CT river but about 5 miles inland. But I know it only takes us about 45-50 min to my parents house & they are about a 1/2 hour from the NY border. So minus the 5-10 min drive to the Merritt it should take us a little over an hour as long as I plan the flight around traffic!

I am planning on going August 2008.

That is a good idea. I will have to see what Tweed has for rentals.

We found a great rate for a Limo to take us and pick us up. For three hundred so that is what we are doing for our Sept. trip to Orlando out of White Plains....

Yep booked mine on Delta as soon as they came out. Paid $308.10 total each ticket rt from Portland Maine for April 17-25. Of course there are no direct flights to Orlando (except AirTran) so we connect in JFK both ways. If I was to book Delta today it would be $583.10 total. Yikes!:scared1:

I'm so torn. I can get flights on US Air out of BDL for our dates for about $1600 :headache: for the 3 of us for April vacation (and I could have gotten them for a little less but wanted those particular flights)...so now do I wait and see what Jet Blue does, or book these?.... And in checking American and Delta, those flights were much higher...ARGH!!

Hurry up Jet Blue! :scared:

That is a good price........

The fall sale ends on 8/8. I wonder if there is any history of JetBlue releasing new dates when their sales end?
