I used it to make my Christmas cards, but I haven't done a 12x12 page yet. I'm planning on jumping in to the whole digital scrapbooking thing next weekend at a two day retreat! I want to scrap my last Disney trip so I can get a book made for me and one for my MIL. I'll probably get them made through Shutterfly, not CM, but I still want to use the Cm software! Any hints for using the software? Can I use those drag & drop templates I see in a lot of the digital scrapping stores, or are those only for PSE? Anyone know? I also need to find a good pirate kit to download. If you know where I can find that, let me know, too! Thanks!

I do -- I love it. It is so easy to use... I complete my pages in no time. I just completed 6 Easter pages. You can use any elements from any kits you find. You just import the elements or the drag and drop pages as you would a picture file and then place them on the page... add your pictures to them (use the layering options -- move to front, back, etc) and you are done. I also love to use the CM premade pages (for the layouts) and then change the papers to non CM ones that are themed that I have found. I like the CM kits, but I don't want to be restricted to them. On nthe other hand, I don't have time to create alot of layouts totally from scratch.... so it's the perfect compromise in my opinion.

Oooh, I didn't know you could change the papers on the pre-made CM templates. That's cool! I haven't figured out how to use blanks templates yet. I downloaded a few, now I have to test it out. Thanks!

Once you have imported the papers from whatever kits you want to use (the same way you do pictures), you just click on the paper on the CM premade page that you want to change, then click the arrow next to the picture of the paper you want to replace it with and click "fill the selected element with this photo" and it changes right over. I used CM Christmas premade pages and changed all of the papers to Easter ones I had bought off eBayand added a few toher elements... and they came out cute and took me no time. One thing... down the left hand side, all of the elements on your page are listed. The background page is usually at the bottom, and the yellow lock will be on. You need to click the lock to "unlock" it, otherwise you can not change the backgrouund paper. Not a big deal, but just thought you might not know that.

Are all of the templates different in all of the different packages? Or are the layouts the same, just with the different papers (talking about the Cm predesigned pages)?

All of the free downloadable themes - basic black, blue, green, red, gold, etc are all the same for single photo, 2 photos, etc -but the 12 x 12 digital kits and predesigned pages are all different. I own everything that CM has released because I am consultant and a little obsessive - I just checked it out and the layouts vary from kit to kit.

I used to be a CMC, so I understand! I hadn't gotten any of the predesigned kits because I didn't realize that you could change them around so much. I will probably end up buying all of them now!! They are actually a pretty good deal if you consider them templates instead of pre-made pages! You get a lot of stuff for $7.95. Oh boy, I feel a spending spree coming on!!
