Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you have to take a website down to update content...I do some web stuff at work, and the new info just updates when you refresh the page.

I think its just down because so many people are checking it today, it probably crashed!

Not that I'm not looking forward to an announcement just as much as everyone else!!!!

No the Disney Visa web site is down due to updates to site. They do this every Saturday (late) into Sunday morning & it is up running again around 11AM or after. Nothing to due with too many people logging in.

Yep, I am a Chase customer and there is always a little message telling you that if you need to pay your bill that you cannot do it during that certain timeframe every weekend.

I did check the WDW site and although it still has the special offers tab, it's just the old FL res offer that hasn't even been extended!!

It's 11:14 est here. I just checked the DisneyVisa site. It still has the expired specials up on the site.

No need to panic.

I believe the Disney web site has taken off the specials they had just the free interest for 6 months if paid with Disney Visa card. I was just making my dining for my September & I looked before I made them

Sorry but I am a total newbie to all of this and was trying to book a Disney vacation and called today to book the hotel and get the discount which expired yesterday - aarrghghh. Can someone tell me if it is likely that there will be new discounts coming up soon to help reduce my hotel bill???

YOu should have booked it before today if you knew of them. There might be discounts for the GP offered past Aug 14 but most likely not be rereleased for dates prior. FL res. and AP holders can still book with their discounts for prior to Aug 14 but that's it. The next discount most likely for the GP will be free dining. There will most likely be room only discounts for the fall but not for a while. Don't know when you're going, but just so you know, when WDW says an offer expires it does. There have sometimes been added dates, like these 2 past offers, but the book by date didn't change.

I'm not surprised at all. I think some kind of new discount will be available tomorrow. None of us really knows though.

My guess they will start Aug 15. That's been the norm. Check out mousesavers.com for historical info. The summer up through Aug 14 was out there with 2 offers plus the PINs that were sent to some. THat's probably it for GP offers through Aug 14 in my opinion. Various PINs, bouncebacks, AP and FL still have offers avail for the summer dates if that helps.

It is far more common for deals to be released during the week, but Disney has released them on weekends before.

They've already alerted the public that they're backing off on discounts as the economy "recovers." I think they'll wait a while before jumping off the discount cliff to see if bookings firm up without them.

I hope I'm wrong, but... I'm not holding my breath.

I know I read the same about offers, but it seems since then the offers/Pins kept coming. The GP for room only through Aug much earlier as well. Who knows what they're up to but it seems many discounts have been available and some esp. the summer room only out there much earlier.

It will be interesting to see what they offer and the dates. As someone who always goes mid-Aug. I can truthfully say that last year is the first time Disney offered free dining around the 15th. We have always been at that time and last year was the first time we were there during the free dining. It has always started the following weekend. We have always left on a Thurs. and the free dining always started that coming weekend. Not sure what they will do this year. I would actually like a room discount since the free dining isn't a deal for us since we stay in a 2 bedroom at the BWVs it is better for a room discount than paying full price with free dining.
