Anyone else love Veronica Mars?

I confess I am a TV addict, and TiVO has made it so much worse. My current favorite show is Veronica Mars. Does anyone else out there watch it?

I know. I've gotten a couple of friends hooked on it, but it doesn't get very good ratings. I'm afraid it won't last another season.

We also love the show. The network isn't one we usually watch. Because of the wonderful write-up the Denver Post TV critic gave at the beginning of the season we gave it a try - and have beeen hooked ever since. I noticed she gave a big plug for Veronica Mars in yesterday's column too.

Yeah, I know this thread is a little old, but for those of you who didn't know, Veroncia Mars DID get picked up for next season. So we can all enjoy her attitude and sense of humor a little bit longer.

YES YES YES..........I love this show too! Where I am, VM is opposite "House" but I choose to watch VM. During the summer I am catching up on House and I sure do love that show too!, but during the Fall, I will be watching VM. GREAT show. I wonder if it is popular with teens.

WHAT? I was under the impression they solved that murder this season & would be introducing a new mystery next season. You mean they didn't tie it up at all? (I have only seen two random repeats).

Yes. The last episode of the season resolved the Lily Kane murder mystery. The new season will have a new mystery (and as a matter of fact, much of the recurring cast will change -- no more Kanes or Echols).

VM is on UPN, which is the least watched network, so it isn't very well-known. It isn't clear how much better its ratings would be if it were on a stronger network. What is clear to me, at least, is that the premise and foundation for the show is pretty darned weak. It has been tried many times before, without much success. The difference with VW is that they got incredibly lucky and cast Kristen Bell as the lead character. She's converted what is basically a losing proposition into a solo tour de force. She was equally incredible in Reefer Madness. I'm not sure that I'm hoping so much for a long run of VM, just because I think Kristen Bell deserves more exposure.

That's awesome! I LOVE VM! We switched from satellite back to basic cable in the spring to save some money and I unknowingly lost UPN and had to "watch" the final episodes on Television Without Pity.

Oh wait, I just looked around and it looks like CBS is just airing last season for the summer. It will be back on UPN in the fall. Oh well, at least I can see those episodes I missed.

VM is moving to Wednesdays at 9 in the fall. I believe this will be at the same time as Lost as that is moving as well. It will also be up against the Martha Stewart Apprentice. At least its not against Amazing Race anymore. That was a tough one to choose between (Veronica usually won, though)

Still, I love this show and have converted many of my friends. We have season 1 on dvd and are just passing the disks until everyone who didn't watch last year could and would be all caught up for next year

Charisma Charpenter (from Buffy and Angel)
will play someone mom on the show

However, it will still be broadcast on UPN. CBS is just show 4 reruns.
