After two years at my job I hate it. The work it's self isn't the problem, it's the people, especially management. This is the most unorganized, unprofessional place I've ever worked. And everyone is so two-faced!! Anyone else hate their job, boss, co-workers?? :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

No, I could never stay at a job where I was that unhappy.

I have a friend who is going through this. I suggested the book "Working With You is Killing Me" - she said she was going to buy it and display it on her desk.

I have a 2nd interview tomorrow at a new place so hopefully I won't be miserable much longer. I'll have to check the book out though, thanks for recommending it.

Only had a problem with one co-worker. Major racist. If you weren't her color, well, that was that. She thought I liked her, dunno why...

And she quit this week! :)

I like it.

Now I work at a movie theatre, I know not the most profesional place. But it's beautiful, and a little over a year old, so you'd expect it to be run decently...I can't even understand this place! We had hundreds and hundreds of bottles of this "Vault" energy drink sitting in our store room. They kept saying "push it push it push it!" Well we pushed it and no one would buy it! Finally one day it dawns on them, hey, why don't we make a sign! So they printed three 8.5" x 11" signs that probably took all of three minutes to make. I kid you not withing ONE WEEK all of the drink that had been siting for almost two months was GONE! It just totally baffles my mind how they could be so completely STUPID in everything they do -- nothing is logical at this place. What makes me mad is that we'd make suggestions, hey we should get a sign "yeah yeah yeah." It just disgusts me the way that place is run while they whine about how business is bad.

The other thing that bugs me is the just plain LAZY coworkers. Slow, lazy, and dumb. I think those are the requirements for a job here. It's not rocket science. Sigh, breath in breath out...

Funnily enough, I like the people I work with, we have no personnel issues, I like the perks I get, the whole job arrangement (short hours, flexibility etc.) - but I'm bored of the actual work itself! Thing is, I'm not sure what else I'd rather be doing. I'm doing what I went to school for years to learn how to do, and it bores me LOL! Not sure what I'm going to do. I'm not qualified to do anything else, and I just don't know what else I'd go and learn to do (nothing else has sparked my interest). Maybe I'm just in a general rut and need to find some hobbies or something! :teeth:

Currently...no. I love my job, have a great boss and excellent co-workers (sorry!!)

Previously...oh yeah. Mostly job and boss...I have always gotten along with my co-workers. But a couple of jobs ago my boss was a nightmare...completely unprofessional, fraudulent, a hypocrite, and an overall unpleasant man to work for.

The worst part...I had accepted another job, and the next day, before I could walk into his office and quit, he announces that he has sold the business to someone else! He denied me the pleasure of qutting on him :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That made me more mad than all of the other crap I had to put up with!

I love my job and my co-workers...I strongly dislike my new boss  He is very sexist and can't seem to remember that my eyes are up here  He is a butthead that thinks my bra size decreases my IQ :sad2:

I worked at one place till one day I realized I wasn't happy anymore. So I gave my notice. And I told them why I was leaving, I wasn't happy working there anymore and the management was part of the problem.

I left my job after my first baby b/c of the situation.

My former boss is now in an assisted care living facility due to a brain injury sustained during a fall.

while I did not appreciate his handling of my situation (training the village idiot whom they gave my job before I went on maternity leave--only to fire her while i was on maternity leave b/c she's an idiot and a liar).....these are real people :(. He was an nice guy---they just assumed i was hormonal I guess---and didn't believe a word I said about the idiot until---they were forced to see it with their own eyes. I just really didn't appreciate that one bit.

unfortunately post partum depression happened--so after I returned and saved the day from the mess the idiot made--I ended up quitting anyway. I should have never gone back b/c they behaved as though the problem never existed (re: the idiot).

I love my job, my bosses and my co-workers. There is one co worker I really don't like but I avoid her whenever possible. I just don't like her work ethic. She does nothing all day and no one cares plus she's kinda annoying.

I only stay for the money and benefits, and a few good friends.

Absolutely!

But hopefully the situation will be remedied within the next few months.

:rotfl2: yep, that is why I recently resigned couldn't take it any more. administration and some of the teachers where so horrible. in my case though I had put in 7 years only one more and I would of been vested. :furious:

my health was far more important sure was a hard decision to make

I'm very lucky and get along with my co-workers (some more than others, but that's okay). But I've had jobs with co-workers that I just wanted to kill. Life's too short, if there is any possible way to quit and find another job, do it. Work out your budget and see what kind of pay cut you can handle, figure out what benifits you have to have and what you can do without, brush off the ol' resume and then start looking. Maybe you won't find anything right away, but something is sure to come along. And when it does you'll be ready!

:thumbsup2 That's me. Really dislike the group I am working with right now but am stuck for a couple more years at least ... there's no where else that I can go and make as much (and it's not much) money without a Bachelor's degree.

I'm going to school now so hopefully in a few years I can get outta Dodge!

People are so bad here that the girl I *used* to share an office with wanted a certain office that was coming up to be freed and when they told her no, she came up with "issues" re: me all of a sudden and when I confornted her, she refused to talk about it, said there was no issue w/me. Talk about two-faced.

The office I work in now is great. Professional yet laid back. The people, including management, are nice and they treat you with respect whether you've been here for 30 years or 30 days.

I worked retail before this and it was a disaster. Some managers were amazing and then others were horrific. The manager that hired me, hated me. For no reason. He was picky, annoying, and needed to get a life. I was so happy when he left. Then the manager that came after him, ugh. She gave everyone horrible hours and treated you like crap. She had a reason though. She just decided before she met us that she didn't like us and she wanted all of us to quit (since she had to reason to fire us) so she could hire all new girls. Well none of us quit and the girl she did hire was stealing and never showed up for her shifts.
The corporate wasn't very bright either. Their way of doing things was always backwards and stupid. I remember they had a sale, $0.50 off some lotion. Well they sent us about 50 bottles of it. Only 4 could fit on the shelf. None of it sold. So we had 50 bottles of it in the storage for years. Or how about when they loaded the truck wrong and we got stuck with numerous broken bottles of shampoo? They sent us a pallet of about 4 stacks of 10 boxes each. Well the top 9 boxes of the pallet was all liters of shampoo and conditioner. The bottom box was all cottonballs!!! Who in their right mind did that?! It was a disgusting mess.

Amen to that one bro! I could take or leave all my co-workers except for one!
