Anyone else hate Jungle Cruise?

I like it but it's a museum piece at this point. I also like CoP and CBJ and Tiki Room in the same way.

Lol, I guess it is like a museum treasure. For me it's a couple of steps up from CoP, CBJ, and Tiki Room. I want to ride JC at least one time every trip, where the other three, are skipped every other trip.

oh boy...such corniness! but I love it with all my heart  Without it, my 4/6/8 yr old kids would have absolutely NO reason to think I'm such the nerd and that they are so much cooler than me :teeth:

Absolutely love it! The dry and sarcastic sense of humour is right up my street, and although it is technologically dated, Jungle Cruise stands the test of time because it's a WDW classic. However, we have found that our level of enjoyment on the cruise can greatly depend on the host. Some of CM's have some great and original jokes, where as others seem to be reading from a generic script.

I could take it or leave it, myself. But it warms my heart that my "too cool for school" teen considers it a must-do (along with CoP and TTA).

I love it! In fact, my whole family, and my sisters family loves it. We laugh at the corny jokes and get excited for skippers who have jokes that are new to us.
My son is going down in August for the college program, and his dream is to be a JC skipper, he knows every joke, and has a few new ones of his own....he's really hoping for a chance to be a skipper while he's there.

"Alright well that brings us to the end of our tour. If you had fun and enjoyed it, then my name is Nick. If you didn't, then my name is Brittany and this has been the Hall of Presidents"

I enjoy it when we get the younger CM's as the skippers who tell jokes that you might think they'll be fired soon lol. Other than that, it's pretty boring. We'll wait 5-10 min for it, but no more than that. I find it insane when it's up around an hour wait.

I didnt realize how much I do love this ride until until I read this thread! To me, it is so nostalgic, it's like going back in time, and remembering riding with my parents when I was a kid, to ride it with my own kids is pure magic. Love riding it at night!

I looove it. First, the queue music is great, mostly because of the added voice over, which is sarcastic and hilarious. sometimes ill just listen to the track at work and have to stop myself from giggling. Some great jokes have also stuck with me from the ride. One time while about to disembark "over there are a couple of docks, and to help you out of this boat *points to CMs waiting*, a couple of dorks!"

But if the sarcasm or punny kind of humor is not something you laugh at, then sure it's not for you. I totally get how it could be annoying, but i go every time just in anticipation of a new joke or two

I love it and force my family to ride. I'm a stand up comedian and - although my material isn't in the same genre, I can really appreciate the corny puns when I get a great captain.

Yep. It's all about getting a good captain or not. If you get one, the ride is pure gold.

Jungle Cruise= classic Disney. Maybe not for everyone, but still...:earsboy:

We always like it even though we recall a lot of the jokes

Google for: Florida palmetto bugs.
On Wikipedia, that will turn up Florida Woods Cockroach, which isn't very reassuring. The important thing to understand is that even though it's technically a cockroach, it doesn't usually infest homes, it's not a sign of bad housekeeping, and when it does come inside, it's because of the temperature, not because of a dirty kitchen.

I agree the skipper makes all the difference, but I also think it was better back when they weren't forced to stick to a script. We still go on it almost every trip.

I like it , it's quaint, and a good driver can make all the difference with those corny jokes. Last time I rode it, we got stuck midway for 20 minutes because a boat up ahead had stalled and had to be towed back to dock. As much as I like the nostalgia of it , I wouldn't mind if they updated some of the Animal-tronics (see what I did there?) when you can see the real thing on Kilimanjaro safari at Animal Kingdom it does pale in comparison.
