Anyone Else Get Scammed? Officialticketcenter

Sorry, just called the Disney store to verify their price. Last time I was in there and asked they told me the prices were the same as those listed on the website. But when I called she said the adult was $205 and some change, don't remember it being different last year. Anyway, last year I think we came out cheaper buying them there at the store than paying the processing fee and shipping charges. I generally do lots of research before I buy.

Just wanted to post this info as it might help some of you out. Went to the Officialticketcenter site and they do indeed have the promo listed buy 4 day ticket get free upgrade to 5 day ticket. As I am always a sucker for a good deal I had to check out the prices....$194 for the adult 4 day and $155 for the childs 4 day, we need 2 adults and 1 child which would be $543, right? Okay so then I switch over to Disney's site and a 5 day adult is $193 and the childs 5 day is $155, may charge more at the gate, not sure have never bought them at the gate. Here is a little info some of you might not be aware of, you can go to your local Disney store and buy the tickets for the price on the web and have your tickets already in hand, they activate them right at the register in the store. This is what we did last year. If I am doing my math correctly, that is $1 less than the officialticketcenters 4 day ticket plus you save the shipping and handling charges and you are already dealing directly with Disney so you know the tickets are legit.

Hope this helps someone!

I'm not sure about the ticket vendor from the OP, but I purchased my tickets from Ticketmania and the prices were listed the same as on the Disney site also. The difference was that the Ticketmania price INCLUDED taxes(and free shipping) and the Disney site does NOT. So, in essence, the Disney tickets are higher. So, I'm thinking this might be the case with this vendor too. I also wonder if when you called the Disney store if they quoted you with or without the taxes. Your post does lead me to a question about my own tickets ( I will post it on a seperate thread also). Anyone know if the tickets you get from Ticketmania are already activated, or do I need to go somewhere and do that when I arrive? TIA

Anyway, to the OP....I truly hope you get this all settled. I know it must be stressful and noone wants that when they are preparing for a magical vacation! Keep us posted on what happens. :grouphug:

I sure will keep you posted, I shipped the tickets back today. Please let me know what happens when you purchase your tickets. Thanks!

Well, I ordered my tickets this morning. I wrote in the comment line that I should be receiving 5 day tickets with this promo. Hopefully they'll get it right. Did you ever receive the correct tickets? :flower:

I was just looking at OfficialTicketCenter's pricing and the difference between a 4-day MYW base ticket and a 5-day MYW base ticket is only $4! So, for a family of 4, you're saving $16. And you would pay $10 to have them delivered to you home via FedEx.

I think that Ticketmania.com has got a better deal. If you're a MouseSavers newsletter subscriber, the 5-day base tickets are just a couple bucks more than the 4-day passes and they don't charge anything for shipping. Plus, their prices are the same as OfficialTicketCenter.

This doesn't help the OP in any way but it may make you think about what it actually costs and what your true savings are. It's just my 2¢, FWIW. Sometime FREE isn't what it seems at first.

You're right for a family of four. We have 4 adults and 2 children in our party, so even with the $10 shipping, we are saving $14.

Where are you finding free shipping at Ticketmania? I've tried the mousesaver newsletter as well as the ticketmania site and they always want to charge me shipping. I've found undercovertourist to have the best prices and free shipping! 4-5-6 day tickets are the same price, too.

Ticketmania had free shipping in the past, however they now charge for shipping. (I think this might have started at the beginning of 2006)
