I think I am a bit crispy. I still need to book our town car ride from the airport and I just cannot do it. I look at all the companies, trying to compare the rates, survey other disers on service, but just can't make myself pick up the phone and do the deed.

I printed off packing lists and threw them on my dresser. My suitcases are in the basement, my summer clothes in boxes under my bed.

My hotel confirmation letter sits unopened on the breakfast bar.

I am only dissing about 1/2 hour per day now.

What is wrong with me?????

Happened to me after the 60 day PS flurry.... got my Cindy's ressie, got the park hours, planned which park which day, then basically nothing for a month or so. Trust me, it picked back up again when I realized I only had a couple weeks left ..... and now that I'm down to days, I think about it all the time!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

That doesn't really happen to me before we go, but after the trip I'm done. I always have the intention to do a dining review because I enjoy these so much and feel like I should give back. Maybe this time I will since I'll be coming to the WISH boards (hopefully). I don't think it's bad to chill for a while before your trip, sometimes we build up our expectations of how everything is going to play out, which can set you up for disappointment.
Now if you changed your mind about going I would be worried;)

I have a theory. Could it be that you've done most of your planning already and whatever is left is really not urgent so you're subconsciously saving some planning for later on since you still have one more month before you can leave?

I also leave in a month (yay!...but not a week...boo!). After making my air, hotel, car, and PS's, there's just little things left that I MAY want to do (parasailing, etc.) that can wait. I also need to buy tickets too, but that can also wait. I think I'm just afraid that if I do everything now, I'll be literally staring at the countdown clock strumming my fingers on the table(not good for my sanity).

I was beginning to worry that I was "losing" my obsession with WDW...and after just buying into DVC....THAT had better not happen!

I think I am in that limbo period right now where it's too early to do the last minute items and all the BIG stuff is done. I have some other planning details to do, but I can't do them on the weekends and it's hard for me to do them during work hours.

Anyway, I'm glad this happens to other folks too.

Hey Queenofthecastle - it appears we may be at Wilderness Lodge at the same time! My countdown is a little off because we added a few days at the beginning of the trip - I actually am at 29 days today (April 15)! We will be at CSR May 15-May 18 then VWL May 18-23.

Woo Hoo.

Gotta buy those lime green ribbons this time. Hey, is that a spark of excitement I am feeling?

I'm in the same place too! All the big stuff is done, and all I have left is buying park-hopper passes and confirming reservations. I look at these boards almost daily trying to find something to get me in the mood again. Right now I am just staring at that countdown!:(

I hear you!! I'm in the same boat! We leave in 2 weeks and I'm sort of sick of planning. On this trip, we want to spend time finding lots of hidden mickey's in each park and hotel. I've gathered a HUGE list for each park/hotel and now I've got to organize them but I just haven't been able to bring myself to do it! Also, I've got a big "Disney tips" list that I've accumulated over the last few months of things we've never seen/noticed before. I'd like to condense the list and organize it, but again, I have no motivation!! I hope I do it soon as time is running out!! Enjoy your trips everyone!

You're burned out. You need a Disney vacation :D :D :D

I think there are extremes. My wife gets burned out on planning and has to walk away from it. But not me. I've often said it's the illness I can live with. I figure I'm putting five hours a week into it. And that includes going over things for the hundreth time. But it may be the only thing where the event always beats the anticipation. So I anticipate a lot. It increases the event!

But I'm weird. I don't think getting burnt out is strange. DW will wave me off many times in the next fifty days when I try and "plan."

I am going through right now. I also have not called a towncar service and am in no hurry to do so. I figure in a couple of days I will call.

When the trip gets closer I will be back getting all of the updated info.

It has happened to me. I have friends in DVC who say each trip becomes more relaxed because they know they will be returning many times and there will be plenty of opportunity to do everything sooner or later.

I was close to burning out, but now that I've FINALLY booked an offsite hotel for our last day in Orlando, I feel a resurgance of planning energy. Now all I have to do is find hotels for the trip down and back. That is proving to be a little more difficult, as there isn't as much good hotel info as there is on Disney area hotels. Once I find the courage to book those, then I'm sure I'll be rarin' to go.:D

We're going VERY soon and I'm still debating on wether or not to buy new luggage!! I have made absolutely NO ressie's and don't think I'll bother since it is so late. Not expecting big crowds when we are there and don't want to pre plan down to that as food is pretty much food when you're hungry. I've been twice as a teen, once as a young married and 10 years ago with our then 3 year old. I know the parks well enough and am going with the notion of this being a true vacation (read: relax after tax season and brutal winter of '02-'03). We don't want to come back exhausted and hating each other if you know what I mean!! HAVE FUN and expect good surprises 'cuz they'll happen naturally!
