Is anybody doing Thanksgiving at the Fort (Mickey's Backyard BBQ)? That was the only thing we could get ressies for. I'm not sure if it's worth two meal credits.

The Fort is all we could get on Thanksgiving too. I have been wondering if it will be worth 2 credits. Do you have any idea what is on the menu for Thanksgiving?

We are going! We went 2 years ago and had a great time. We may cancel the 48 hours in advance if it looks like rain, but we may tough it out. We booked this at our 180 day window. We were up early calling for it. The food is only okay, but my kids had a good time with the characters. It's a unique experience. There isn't reserved seating. My kids are now 13, 8, and 3 so you can figure their ages two years ago.

Here's the menu:

We did this in 05 and LOVED it! The food was typical buffet, but the desserts were slightly away from the pavillion in a field area. I think the kids were able to decorate a cookie. The entertainment was really good - the band and the singer who could do rope tricks were a hit, and the character interaction was probably the best of the trip - we have great photos of DD linedancing with Chip and Dale and Minnie. The characters did not pose for photos, but we got plenty of great "natural" shots.

It really is important to get there early - seating is at long rows of picnic tables, and as the spaces fill in, we noticed folks getting overly territorial. We used two credits for the meal, but I wonder if the value is better OOP and having an extra TS for another time in the trip. We were satisfied, but someone else might not be if they are interested in maximizing value.
