Just wondering if after a few weeks, do you get bored? (I find myself yawning) And, do some of the people on the tapes ... "annoy" you? You know what I mean...the same person does the same annoying thing every single day you do your tape? ;)

I have a Walk Away The Pounds 2 mile tape, which I love, but one lady touches/pats her butt a few times and it just cracks me up every time. It's silly, I know, but when you watch these tapes hundreds of times, they are bound to annoy ;) you in some ways.

I do tae-bo, I never get bored with it, but I know where certain people on the tape will yell out something. I used to be annoyed, but now I feel I must yell along with them!:smooth:

I have done Walk Away the Pounds and Tae-bo. Unless I am doing it with someone I do get bored. As for people being annoying, I just start saying something about it or 'immitating' them to get through the tape....it cracks my friend up.

I find you have to have several or it does get boring, and yes, some of the people are annoying as all get out. But I had the same problem when I went to the gym, only I could not make fun of people out loud! :D

Only when I think my teenagers might bring home friends ;) It is not a risk they want to take LOL
Seeing your Mom dance around in front of the tv is different then your friends seeing :teeth:

Wishing you a Tagged day !

I have a few Denise Austin tapes and there are times I want to throw my hand weights at the TV. Especially when she keeps going "Yes! We're building muscle and burning fat" with this big cheesy grin.

I want to punch Denise Austin! Her whispery voice, and her puky repetitive insperational messages, BARF! I do have several, and I just switch in between, unless I am seeing particularly good results with one, then I tend to stick with it longer. The one thing about home tapes is I won't do them with anyone else in the house. My hope is to one day, have a room in the basement with a door I can lock. (HMMM. I could just lock the basement door. Thats an idea!) Overall, however, I do much better in a gym setting. I think its a combination of being able to watch tv, pretending I'm the only one "doing it right" :p and the pheronomes wafting by! :teeth:

Keep the Faith!

There are quite a few of us over on the W.I.S.H board that do the exerise tapes. I just do not have the time to go to a gym.
I have a couple of the walk away the pounds, I have the 2 and 3 mile express, I have a 1 muscle mile, a 1/2 hour walk and jog and a 1/2 hour walk and kick box. I rotate them so I do not get bored, I have 2 Denise Austin tapes, one was made quite a few years back, so I do not use it a lot, but I do have a 45 minute toning video that I like, I think is called hit the spot or something like that.
I do have a room off my family room where I can close the door and do my tapes. It makes it a lot nicer if you have some privacy.
When I do not feel like doing the tapes I walk on the treadmill.
I think that they key is to have a variety so that you do not get bored and you work different areas of the body for a complete workout.

I took the cheap way out ;) I taped Yoga Zone off of the TV. I have 3 VHS tapes of episodes so I never get bored.

I do Yoga tapes at home and I don't seem to get bored with them - but aerobics tape I do get bored with. ChibiJones - that is an excellent idea. I can't fathom why I didn't think of this since I do it for my DS and the Wiggles all the time.

DH is now in Yoga heaven. We had Cablevision I/O Digital installed yesterday. They have SPORTSKOOL on demand, DH has been watching yoga and fitness tapes on demand. Now he wants to tape the broadcast, but my VCR doesn't go up to channel 149, at least I didn't think it did.
Anyway, DH is happy.

I have 3 workout tapes that I use: Walk the Walk with Leslie Sansone; Power 90; and Tae-Bo. I use all of them........I think it is important to change it up to keep it interesting. I also work out at a place called Better Bodies. This is a circuit training just like Curves. I LOVE IT!! I shoot for Better Bodies 4-5 times a week, and use my workout tapes the days I don't go.

Keep up the good work everyone!! Get that exercise in daily.....you'll be glad you did!!!
