We will be there July 14th through the 23rd at the WL. My wife and I went two years ago at the end of June and were there for July 4th fireworks (which were spectacular). One bit of advice for those going for the 4th (if you want to stay at the magic kingdom):

1. Stake out your spot to watch the fireworks early (we saw some people scoping out places around 6pm, so we decided to plant ourselves as well). Be prepared to hold onto those spots with your life!!

2. Be sure to make your priority seating for that day (I know it is called something different) asap. My wife still reminds me of how we almost didn't get to eat that night.

Add us to the baking festival. We'll be at POR July 24-29, then on to the Dolphin til Aug. 5.
BTW Texans--we've been to San Antonio and Corpus Christi in July--Florida will be a nice cool-down for y'all!

We'll be at the Dolphin 7/28-8/4. Maybe we'll see you there. Look for a short-haired blond with a handsome brown-haired DH, a 6' 1" DS w/ blond hair longer than mine, and my DD, Tinkerbell's sometimes evil twin, 16 y.o. Stinkerbell.
I just cut ten inches off my hair in preparation for the heat of WDW in summer, then sent my hair to live in FL through the LOCKS OF LOVE program. My third grade students were stunned at the difference, so I told them they could write a story about my hair living in FL. They had it sunning on the beach, working as a wig for an alligator, getting a massage at a spa, and, of course, riding the rides at WDW. Except for the gator, it sounds like fun to me!

We're really deranged! We're not only going to be there from July 22 - 30th, we're getting MARRIED at Seabreeze Point at 3 p.m. It's gonna be HOT!!

Why cant her birthday be in november like mine? It was perfect weather then!

Yes, we will be continuing our tradition of going the last week in June and staying through the 4th of July week. When we lived in upstate NY thats when school was out, so we would come down then. Now that we live about 45 minutes away, we still make the 4th one of our vacations. Yes, its hot, but thtas why they have air conditioning. We will be staying at the VWL as usual, right by the pool, ha ha.

This is our 7th annual 4th of July trip and we love it.We go twica a year so crowds dont have any effect on us since we dont power trip our vacation.We have alot of fun just hanging around the resort/pool until we are ready to go.We hardly ever go during the day but wait until later when most are leaving and only stay a short time.We pick and choose what to go and do.We have annual passes thru DVC that makes it cheaper for us.I have saved up around 80 plusses or options as they call them now so I have many years of water park passes to use.You are not crazy for going in the summer just because of the heat.I have gone Oct thru Dec and the crowds where big so maybe I dont have good luck since some people say nobody is there when they go so have a good trip!!!!!
