I might have made a wrong decision, or not. I always heard from friends saying that CAA has better rate for Disney. So I just booked with CAA (AAA Vacations).

Just then I realized most people on disboards were suggesting to call Disney and ask for AAA discount. A little frustrated....

Anyone who had made WDW reservations via CAA Travel Agency, please kindly share your experience.

If you booked a package with tickets and dining that can only be booked through CAA. Disney direct can offer room only discounts.

There are some added value things booking thru CAA such as the diamond parking pass, a discount card for merchandise and food at select locations and other things depending on what the current offer is and type of package booked.

We booked our upcoming Nov/Dec trip thru CAA. We didn't have any problems. Our TA is great. In addition to the discount card, we also got a free storytelling with the princesses at the MK which takes place at the AAA lounge.

Hi AIW, a few questions for you....our TA emailed a travel agreement, but I was concerned with some of the points there. Just wondering if you are having the same on yours:

1). The term "NOT GUARANTEED FOR LATE ARRIVAL" was listed on my travel statement - I asked my TA but she said she has no idea about that. Since we prepaid for everything, why no guarantee?

2). Some benefits were not listed on the travel statement, such as Diamond Parking Voucher - which my DH is most concerned about. Yes, Storytelling is listed in the agreement ...did your make reservation via your TA?

Since you are travelling in November, have you received the Disney package, hotel/meal voucher yet? I am a little concerned if the flow of mailing is Disney -> AAA -> CAA -> me, since we travel after Christmas, and worry if those vacation/busy seasons will affect the delivery.

THX :)

Everything comes to CAA by courier 2-3 weeks prior to departure. Diamond parking coupon is not on the invoice. Its prepaid don't worry about the not guaranteed thingy....just a default. If you only have the invoice from the agency they wouldn't list all the features. Really no need to worry everything will come in a package from disney in time for your trip.

We have booked portions of our last three Disney trips with CAA. They always have a few extra things for us....tink luggage tags, and Disney highlighters, balloons, postcards, writing paper, and Disney document folder to hold travel papers.

Aside from these extras, we've always felt more comfortable with the personal contact with our TA. We feel she'll be more willing to help us out if we need it because she "knows" us. That is worth the few extra dollars. The prices have always been quite competitive anyway.

Good Luck with your plans.

I booked with CAA for our trip in Feb. I didn't know about any of the extras such as the story time and the parking pass. They had not recieved our stuff from Disney so we did not get our package until check in. Since you know about the extras your already two steps ahead.

This time we booked through them again since we like the dining package and in order to get the room discount with the package you have to book through CAA.

Did you encounter any problems without getting the package before your travel? How does it turn out?

Sometimes I feel "safer" to book directly with Disney, since even the package did not deliver on time, we know that Disney has our booking :P

We were told to just use the confirmation of your reservation that they send you as soon as you book. They said that all we needed was our reservation numbers. She did get us our magic express tags and tickets but nothing else. It would have been nice to have the luggage tags and info before we got there though.

Hello Reese,

So did the AAA (CAA) Travel Package (invoice, vouchers, tour guides) awaiting for you at the resort check-in desk? Or did you ever receive them?

It was all waiting for us at the check in desk. This was our first trip and we had no idea what to expect so it would have been nice to have them ahead of time though.

This is my 1st trip to Dsiney and we booked with CAA as I found that they were as competitive as booking thru Disney. I didn't go with the dinner plan but we booked Hotel and tickets. We were told that we will get everything we need about 2 wks before we leave and we are going the 1st week of December. I'm not sure about all the extras but I do believe we will be getting the Diamond Parking Pass and I'm not positive of what else is inclused with our package.

The price quoted by our TA was quite competitive compared to Disney, unless we apply the new ZCU code (but we do not need hopper).

I am just a little concerned because my CAA agent was not too knowledgable (although friendly). Furthermore, all my expectations about AAA vacation packages were from my own web research, since the CAA/AAA 2007 brochure is NOT yet released.

I paid full amount at deposit (don't want to make another trip to make full payment in two weeeks, since we are leaving on the new year) and now we can just wait for the good news.

Now I got the travel statement (invoice) with confirmation number, so I guess my resort (+ package) is already secured? For those who booked via CAA before, do they issue an official payment receipt? Mine is just a standard computer printout with no CAA company stamp etc.

BTW, do you have to show CAA membership card upon check-in at resort?

I bought Disney tickets and trip insurance thru CAA. I booked West Jet,car and resort myself ~ I used CAA card to get 20% off resorts. S
