We're thinking of going to HH at the end of March. Has anyone ever been there that time of year? Are a lot of the activities closed that time of year? I'd like to know what it's like that time of year.

Late March is a great time to go to HH. All activities are in full swing on the island and at the resort. It is a very popular Spring Break destination for families.

Temps will range from upper 60's to low 80's. The ocean will still be cool, but the resort pools are heated.

You'll have a great time. We've been in March many times and enjoy bike riding (there are miles of paved bike trails), walking on the beach, enjoying the resort and exploring the island. There are over 300 restaurants and lots of shopping opportunities (for those so inclined!).

Enjoy!

Plus, the azaleas & dogwood should be in bloom. It is a beautiful time to visit the south!

We went last year 3/8-3/13 and thought it was perfect. Not too busy (only 1 or 2 other families playing miniature golf mid-day), but everything was open and in full swing. It was a little cool for swimming, we thought, but there were plenty of people in the pool.

My DW and I have been in March and for New Years. The pools are heated so you won't have any problems with swimming. Everything is in full swing, golf packages are cheaper in March and the sail boats are in the water so you can charter a boat (highly recommenced for sunsets). Have a great time!
