Looks like we are canceling our Jan./Feb. trip. (Still have my res, just in case! )
Would like to stick with value season.
Was thinking next year we might leave the Friday after T-Day and arrive WDW Sat. night, first park day Sunday, stay til the next Fri am, drive home over the weekend.
Any pros or cons?

Last year sis and family arrived Sunday afternoon and stayed all week. Had a super trip and no complaints on the crowds.

I've done this week a couple of times and really enjoyed it. The crowds quiet down on Sunday(afternoon anyways)and never had much for waits on rides the rest of the week. It's a great time to go as all the Christmas decorations are up. I went 11/12-11/16/04 this year, but my next fall trip will probably be the week after Thanksgiving again!

We did that time frame last year (left the Friday after Thanksgiving) and are doing it again this year (we leave Saturday!!!) The weekend after Thanksgiving is still very busy, so we usually plan to either take guided tours, or steer clear of the parks, but after that weekend the crowds are great (starting the Monday after Thanksgiving). As some examples, last year we stayed at AKL, and there were times when we were headed to the parks and DTD/PI that we had the bus all to ourselves. My DGF is a TOT freak, and we rode it four times back to back with no wait. There was always very little to no wait at the resteraunts when we had a PS. All that, plus the holiday decorations being up make it my favorite time of year to go!

DepCor0311- WOW! I hope it stays the same this year although I am going anticipating at least some crowds based on the recent reports.
We are leaving on FRIDAY :) November 26 and returning December 5 :) We will not hit a park until Sunday. Starting Sunday for breakfast at Cindy's doing a few selected rides (POTC and Splash) and then heading to Epcot where, I hope, has very minimal crowds :)
Enjoy everyone :)

We have been several times during the week after T-Day as our anniversary falls during that time. Never any crowds-the only waits were for the doors at HM to open for the next group or the Tiki Bird show to start-that kind of thing. Any ride that was continuous, we could walk right on. It is one of the least busy times. This year, we are taking the auto train down arriving on Monday morning (Nov. 28) and returning on Saturday. Looking forward to MVMCP on Tuesday as we have never been to that.

Glad to hear the crowds die down. I have four children and the long waits may wear on them. We're still doing the parks this week. AK on Friday, MGM on Sat and Breakfast with Cinderella on Sunday.

aquidneck-We'll be at Cindy's on Sunday morning too :)
Maybe we will see you there :) Enjoy :)

9:10 am :)
See you there or as we are leaving LOL :)
ENJOY :)

Next week will be my 6th year at WDW at this time. Always GREAT. Great weather, lower crowds, stunning decorations, holiday activities, value resort rates. I think it the best time of the year, enjoy.

Its great to here about the low crowds. I was getting a little worried. We leave next Wednesday and can't wait for no waits. I think I might ride Splash Mountain at least 10 times in a row :)

Less crowded, but not quite an E-night crowd. :) Less, though not non-existant.

Did it three years ago. LOVED it. The crowds were almost nonexistent and the weather was absolutely brilliant! Would do it again in a heartbeat!

What about a MVMCP night?

It has been my personal experience that MVMCP nights are VERY crowded. If you are not a parade nut, you can get on rides pretty quickly during the parades.

Everybody have a great trip!!! I can't beleive its so close!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Hi all,

I am new at going this time of year. Have always been in July! We have plenty of long sleeve shirts packed, but only 1 short sleeves. I think we will be hot even in Dec! Help us pack, all you experienced ones!

We are leaving 11/27/04 returning 12/6/04.

I would REALLY appreciate reply's.

Pat

Dan's right. The crowds are lower than other times, but you'll not be able to walk on everything. This will be our fourth year in early December and have observed increasing crowds every year. FWIW, I find the longest lines to be in Fantasyland.
