Anyone able to sneak a peak at BCV’s?

When I saw the carpet in the hallways they replaced, I was hoping for a bit more in the rooms. They look fresh, but definitely not as many touches added as Poly and GF. I love the donald infusion, along with the murphy beds, but I think they could have went farther with some accent wall paper or bolder curtains. Either way, I am happy it was done and be excited to stay there.

I would love to see 1 bedrooms to see if more/less was done.

Sounds disappointing a little bit. After seeing the Poly and GF rooms, I had extremely high hopes considering they were soft goods also, and would feel it would be a ball dropped if they didn't match the added theming of those. I always felt the rooms were a little plain, so if they still are, that will disappoint me. But hey, I won't really judge until I see the video or more photos of it. I could be pleasantly surprised.

BCV has the same layout as SSR with the door to the studio near the front door.

Hopefully I can finally gain some space in my owners locker if the bed under the tv will exist and I can take the air mattress home.

I don't think they look overly different. The biggest change is the Murphy bed replacing the sofa sleeper and the Donald art.

Kind of a let down honestly. The soft refurb at Poly was so gorgeous and really elevated the aesthetic. These look pretty much the same The murphy bed is of course a huge win though.

To be fair, Beach Club was never known for its theming. I’m just thankful for Murphy beds

Someone shared videos of their 5th floor studio that had been refreshed. She had just checked in so guests are now being booked on the 5th floor although she stated that it was only house keeping that she saw. 4th is still under construction and 1-3 floors are still open to guests. I wonder if that will change tomorrow.

Confirmed:

1. Murphy bed installed with Donald, Huey, Dewey and Louie featured
2. New Carpet
3. New platform bed
3. Curtains
4. Repainted
5. New coffee pot/single serve combo

Potentially new mini fridge with freezer compartment and reupholstered chairs.

Fridge with freezer compartment? I'd love to have that back. And as one who usually travels solo, the new coffee pot/single serve combo sounds excellent.

That is what the poster showed. A mini fridge with a small white freezer inside. Although I am not sure they were replaced or just hit or miss at Beach Club.

Do you know if they are just replacing the sofa bed with a Murphy bed or are they adding the small dresser Murphy bed as well? Would be great if the 1 bedrooms could sleep 5/ and 2 bedroom dedicated could sleep 9.

They only showed a studio. My guess is that the kid sized fold down bed under the TV won't be added in 1 bedrooms/2 bedrooms as this was just a soft goods refurb and some have speculated that there wasn't enough space between the bar and window for it.

Well at least the Donald adds a little Disney theming to it. I am surprised they didn't throw a nice runner like the Resort Studios at the GF. Are the night stands the same as before? Looks the same color as before. Wish they changed that

No furniture was replaced except for the sofa w/a murphy bed and the actual bed with a platform bed. It's a soft refurb so other furniture is not replaced. Bathroom appears the same.

I keep hearing soft refurb, yet when the resort studios at GF and the Poly had their soft refurb, they changed out all of those things

I’m just curious why it seems they cheapened out a little bit on one of their most popular DVC rooms. All those other pieces of furniture were pretty beat up and in need of replacement also.

I’m still excited to go though

The resort studios were a complete conversion from a hotel building to a DVC building. You can't compare that here.

Poly did not receive new furniture beyond the murphy bed. The chairs were reupholstered (as are BCVs).

That was actually the one thing that made me not want to stay there. Although our last trip was at SSR, there were slight touches to horse racing. I think that the rooms at BC at the time we toured we okay, subpar in Disney level theming, I liked the boardwalk rooms better.

Even GF added pretty nice mirror with lights going around it in the bathroom.

GF 1 and 2 beds mirror was replaced to remove the television embedded in the glass.
Other than the Murphy beds and new rugs, the rest was reupholstered detail.
