I just discovered some interesting things about the show:

1. In the Conneticut episode where the wax tulips melt, the lady judge is the actress who voiced Maleficent/ Lady Tremaine.

2. In the France episode with the potato sack dresses, one of the model in the potato sack is Cher's mom.

3. A very young Aaron Spelling is in the Tennesse Ernie Ford episode where they go to jail.

4. In real life Lucy was older than Ethel and Ricky.

one of my favorite old shows!
i named my suv after her. thats all the trivia i have.

i am going to have to review the episodes in your trivia! thats neat!

Lucille Ball was on the first cover of tv guide.

(I love that show and now watch with my teenage daughter, she loves it too) my first laugh ever was in reaction to my Grandmother laughing at ILove Lucy. I was a baby.

I love it too! I have the collections on DVD and will also have to rewatch and notice these things.
I also loved watching the Lucy Show back in the 70's. I have these on DVD also. Lucy was who taught me all about humor. :)

Fantastic trivia! Aaron Spelling? I hope to read more :thumbsup2

I know this isn't what's your favorite episode thread, but I love the one when Lucy and Ethel were paid by a movie producer to be people from Mars. :worship:

I Love Lucy is my favorite tv show. I own the complete series on DVD. I knew Lucy was older than Desi and when they started out, he'd add 3 years to his age and Lucy would subtract 3 years from her age so they would be the same age (6 year age difference between them)

We used to watch reruns of this show when I was a kid - I could take it or leave it but since we didn't have cable growing up our choices were limited. It was not until I watched some episodes on TV Land as an adult that I truly appreciated what a comedic genius Lucille Ball was. Her timing, inflection and non-verbal communication were all just pure gold. I can't think of too many comedians nowadays that have that same level of talent.

I have a little Disneyland related "I Love Lucy" trivia. One of the members of Desi's band played there (I can't remember the name of the exact location in DL-Plaza Court?) about 7 years ago for a free set. But I loved that show-I have a book that list episode by episode and anything relavent from that episode.

She also plays the seller of their Connecticut house

I recently went on a tour at a chocolate factory in San Francisco, and they showed the scene where Lucy and Ethel have to wrap chocolate pieces. We were told that they used wax chocolate, and didn't tell the actresses. You can see where one of them puts the chocolate in her mouth and quickly spits it out. Very funny.

This was my mom's all-time favorite series, and she would often start laughing before the scene really got started because she knew what was coming up. Back in the day, we'd tape the shows on our cassettes and play them on long car trips on our little battery operated tape recorders. We'd laugh and the trips would go by quickly.

I blame Lucy for the fear that I had when I was on my cruise that I'd miss the boat at embarkation or at port. This was based on the episode where she missed the boat and had to take a helicopter to catch the boat. That Lucy was an expensive lady!

I love Lucy. One of my favorite tv shows. Whenever I fall asleep watching I dream of whatever show is playing but sometimes I'm in the show or the show takes places somewhere else.

I love this show! I think that the cast was fabulous and Lucy herself was incredibly talented.

I Love Lucy comes on one of our cable channels every morning from 5:00 am until 7:00 am. I like to watch it while I'm drinking coffee and enjoying the quiet before the rest of the house is awake. My 6 year old calls it gray tv. "Are you watching gray tv again, Mommy?". Lol

Thats funny. I have a hard time watching it on tv cause I know exactly what they have cut.
