Hi there!:goodvibes

I've stayed at SSR in 2009 and we had a one bedroom. I must say that I really enjoyed this property. It is very quiet and clean, and there is plenty to do in the carriage house. The only thing that I've heard people say about it is the food court is a little lacking. It's not the biggest on property, but it's enough to grab something. The pools here are very nice as well, I think your girls will enjoy it. We stayed in the Grandstand buildings and I preferred this location because it's the closest to the bus lines. The Congress Park buildings

I've attached a link. This is for the Disney Resorts boards. You can enter a search here for Saratoga Springs and find a ton of threads.

As far as the dining plan goes, I would check with whomever you booked the trip with to determine if you can add the dining plan at the last minute or not. I know when we rented DVC points from a friend that we had to add it before we left.

I hope this link works, it's a map of the resort. Good luck and I hope you have a magical trip!

We've stayed at SSR many times. Every time we stay, we love it more and more. The grounds and buildings are just so beautiful! The pool is great, the rooms are neat. I agree that the food court is small, but the food is delicious!

Hope you are able to enjoy and not feel disappointed. It is a stunning resort!

We just came home from a stay there and I really enjoyed it there, it is a really pretty and quiet resort. The only drawback is that it is huge and can be a pain to get to the main buildings if you are in a far-flung section. The 2 closest to the main building were The springs (closest) and Congress Park and this one was a decent walk. We were in Congress park and the quiet pool there was really nice and it is close to Downtown Disney (about a 15 minute walk) We were close to our bus stop and pool, which was good. There are a couple pics in my TR below with more to come later.

Oh, yes.. me too! If you click on the SRR links in my signature, there are TRs to go with! Thanks for the reminder :)

We love SSR. It is beautiful and quiet and our home resort. It sits on a golf couse. We have stayed in Grand Stand, which is the first bus stop for the resort, but a farther walk to the main pool. Congress Park is closer to the main pool/resort check-in and has a very nice quiet pool overlooking Downtown Disney. As someone else said, you can walk to Downtown Disney from SSR or take a boat ride, which your girls would probably love. The food at Artiste Pallete (food court/gift shop) is tasty, but it is small 'food court' with ample seating. They run dinner specials and have kid friendly items. If you plan to eat there, it may be worth it to buy the disney refillable mugs. Then you get 'free' refills for your entire stay. I hope you'll enjoy SSR. It really is a wonderful resort.
